Seems a good'un so far; if it makes me fit enough to judge better, I'll let you know
Nine months in. I've worn out a friction belt, which is taken as fair wear and tear, so I needed to buy a replacement. As ever, service very good indeed. There are a few tricks to make 'em last longer.Anyway, the bigger issue is: I broke it. Big time. In cross-trainer mode, wobbling violently from side to side. OK in cycling mode. Inspection shows virtually all the welds holding the uprights to the long fore/aft base had separated. Worth a glance. If you have the right contacts, easy to repair, I'll bet. Anyway, reported it, and fantastic service. Inside a week, a full replacement base arrived, bolted back together easily and while it's too late tonight to give it a proper workout, it looks great. So, no need to change the ***** review; it remains well deserved. I still love the product and service leads the pack!*******************************************************************************************************************************************************************So, three months on and almost daily use, this is standing up very well. It gives me a very good workout. Yes, this is not the most expensive and sophisticated machine out there, but it works very well. However, it does like a little bit of attention. Check the main bolts- pedals to cranks-especially- for tightness every so often, and keep an eye on the trueness of the flywheel. Thankfully, that's easy, because the bar over the top of it gives an excellent guide. As the wheel drifts out of true, it starts to jerk as if the chain's going to come off. Which I'm sure it would if left. However, the requisite fittings are there to adjust it all, and then it's back to a satisfying and steady whirr. To set the tension, I've found it best to leave the screw adjuster in the middle of its range, give a good pull on the strap, and adjust from there. Oh, you could probably read the instructions, I suppose. Setting the cross-trainer bars relatively low makes then less prone to rattle a bit. Good stuff, very, very pleased so far.*******************************************************************************************************************************************************************Only four stars so far, as it's an exercise machine, so there's some reluctance to "love" it.However, it arrived promptly, assembled easily (pedals a little fiddly), and does provide a good workout. It does creak a bit, but so far survives a forty minute daily work out.Really, nothing to complain about, and I hope to raise the score to ***** when the longevity has been proved.it seems like the same thing is available differently badged from a number of places, but at the time, this seemed the cheapest by a pound or five, and I can testify to the excellent delivery service.

Ok for a new user, but will it stand the test of time?
I have had this machine a week now and have used every day for around an hour.First of all, the trainer arrived well packaged and took around an hour to fit together. The instructions aren’t great, but with a bit of common sense it is fairly painless assembling all the parts, all the tools required are supplied, and everything is clearly labelled.Onto the workout itself, I think it is doing the trick, the onboard computer gives you an idea of time, distance, calories burned and speed, I am not sure how accurate these measurements are, but for me it’s not a problem and provides a good indication, but I use my Apple Watch to accurately record heart rate and calories burned. After using for an hour each day for a week, I definitely feel the difference, and have more energy and actually quite enjoy my work out time. The machine itself feels sturdy enough while using, and your backside soon gets used to the fairly hard padded saddle, although a little sore after the first use, this soon eased after a day or two of usage.Onto the cons. The various nuts and bolts that are used to assemble quickly seem to work loose, and I have found that after each workout I am having to re-tighten before he next, one of the nuts on the left peddle worked loose. This isn’t a great inconvenience but more a mild annoyance, but then I suppose I should have expected this for the price paid. The machine is quite loud when using, however with your headphones in, this will be more of an annoyance for your family rather than yourself.Time will tell if this machine will stand the test of time and an hourly work out each day, I doubt it, however I think that now I know I am using it I will, when it completely falls apart, invest in a more expensive model. All in all, a good machine for the moderate new user and cheaper and more convenient than a gym membership.UPDATE: A bit completely fell off the left pedal. Luckily I was sitting down at the time and so avoided injury. Contacted the seller who has said I must have put it together wrong, but will send me a new part as a good will gesture.Downgraded one star, will update again when the part turns up.FURTHER UPDATE.The part arrived as promised and was fitted nice and easily, I have added pictures of the bolt that was removed compared to the new one. Let’s hope this one is fine.I have used the machine for 2 weeks now and really starting to tell the difference. I have also found I am going greater distances in the same amount of time. +one star for the service and replacement part.

Compact and very affordable
After having read those reviews I was quite sceptical about this purchase. Many reviews moaned about the difficulty in assembling, manufacturing quality and design flaws, noise and it's reliability as it was constantly falling apart (getting bolts loose, breaking). This wasn't the case in my experience. Assembly was a bit of a fiddle but not overcomplicated, since assembling it I had no problems whatsoever maybe because I assembled it properly as I'm an M&E technician. The bolts are not getting loose to me I did not need to tighten them up frequently at all. It's running for 3 months of light use almost daily already. I like it size and weight so I can move it easily out of the way after use. I price for this is no a brainer! It would be silly to expect to have performance in the same level of professional gym equipment for 100x more of it's cost, weigh and size many times more. As a home training device for light use it fit the purpose.

Excellent Cross Trainer for the money.
What a very good cross trainer for the money. Other reviewers have been critical of the bolts, alignment of bolt holes and the instructions. The bolts are of a good commercial standard, as used in cars etc. As to bolt alignment, I can understand, that if you tighten some bolts, on one or other component, because of the clearance in the bolt holes, this may cause misalignment. The best method is to assemble all components, with the bolts just hand tight, this will allow "looseness" in the joints allowing correct alignment and assembly, the bolts can then be fully tightened on completion of the assembly. Yes I agree that the instructions could be more detailed but, they are adequate and the assembly drawings are a very good guide. My only criticisms, is of the seat, which is very hard, and needs a cushion of some sort. In short a very good exercise machine for the money and, should give years of use, as all wear parts are listed, to be bought as required.

It's Ok
After two hours assembly and a huge amount of swearing (Why are instructions so small??) I was ready for a spin on this. First impressions were good - sturdy and stable, easy to use. So far so good. With one month of daily use behind me, I feel I can comment a bit better now.Firstly, its easy to use. I mostly use the elliptical trainer and its good to see the data. The cycle is fine too.However....if your'e going to cycle, I'd advise an additional seat cover. Gets uncomfortable quickly on your derriere.I purchased this as an upgrade on a previous machine as I hoped it would be quieter. I also bought an additional rubber mat to further minimise sound ( I use it upstairs.) It's not quiet, actually the opposite, more so than my previous machine. This is disappointing, I can't really use it if there's people downstairs as it sounds like 'the roof is going to come through.' It clanks - a lot.I'm disappointed with the adjustable resistance dial. I really don't see much of a difference between the minimum and the max. It sits at max permanently.I tend to finish off with five or ten minutes cycling, which is when I hear complaints about the 'upstairs washing machine.' What's more annoying is that the right arm, which you use for the elliptical trainer, always comes loose. Every. Single. Time. I have tightened this so many times but yet one minute in and it's come loose, clanking away. It's at the stage where I actually just take it off altogether, which is a nuisance. I go around and tighten the various bolts etc every week, sometimes more. Doesn't make a button of difference.I'm a bit disappointed with this purchase, I had hoped for better. Next upgrade and I'll spend a few more pounds.
