Q: Can this kiln be used for precious metal clay?

Yes, although I have not done it myself. It has a programmable controller that can handle any ramp and soak schedules required to do metal clay.

Q: Can this be used to burnout out wax in the dental laboratory to cast for crowns and bridges?

This model cannot be used for wax/resin burnouts. TableTop Furance Company now offers a specific kiln for this process. You will need to use the Hi-Temp Burnout models which are available here on Amazon with either a Programmable or Standard PID controller. Thank you!
