Fit was a bit weird bit it worked well!

Perfect fit
Vacuum was leaking water out of the bottom. Old pump housing was cracked. This fits perfect and no more leaking

Almost a perfect fit.
This replacement part was almost a perfect fit for my Hoover FH50250 carpet cleaner. After I cut away a small part of plastic from the base, it fit just right and works very well.

Still plastic... but, better made than original.Up and running with no more leaking.

May work but does not fit well
This pump assembly looks like the right part but it does not fit as well in the unit as the original part. There are slots and brackets in the Hoover cleaner where this part is supposed to be installed but this replacement part does not fit into all those slots and brackets. There is some mis-alignment. Installing this replacement part fixed the leak in the Hoover carpet cleaner, but the poor fit may cause other problems. I won’t know the full story until I try to use the carpet cleaner.

The #1 part when your's leaks
Did a search and found this item was the main culprit for shampooer leaking. Don't try and repair, simply buy this part and replace.

This fixed the problem with the rug cleaner
The original machine was leaking and broken my husband fixed the problem with this and got the rug cleaner working like new
