This reduced the smell of chlorine greatly! My face does not feel as dry or tight either after showering. My city water was causing patchy redness and itchy skin on my face and it seems to be reversing those symptoms, which is why I purchased the product.

Product is so cheap, I highly doubt the powder is even vitamin c. Extremely doubtful. It states made in Korea about 10 times. But just due to the quality, it’s very unlikely the vitamin c is actually authentic.Not worth 40$

I ordered this on the advice of my new hair colorist who said to purchase a shower filter in order to prevent my new highlights turning brassy. She didn't recommend this specific filter but I did my own research and decided on this one in conjunction with the Sprite HOB-BN Brass High Output Shower Filter. I chose this combination on the recommendation of the report "The Best Shower Filters of 2016" by Justin Thomas. According to his report, you need different filtration systems to filter out both free chlorine and chloramines. I live in San Francisco and our water has chloramines so I decided to go the distance and buy both systems. I've never been one for moderation. My fear was that having two different filtration systems would reduce the water pressure but it didn't in the slightest. It couldn't have been easier to install and the water pressure is phenomenal. In fact, I think there is MORE pressure with this shower head then my previous one. And that is with the Sprite filter as well! I haven't used them long enough to speak to any kind of results from eliminating the gunk but I do feel like the water is somehow cleaner and "lighter." It just feels more refreshing. It's highly probable this is just a "placebo effect" but either way I'm thrilled that I'm showering in cleaner water now and I didn't have to sacrifice my beloved water pressure to get it!

I loved this the first three months I had it. What a difference the vitamin c makes in your hair and skin! The shower head was fabulous the first few months, then suddenly some of the tiny water jets in the showerhead somehow got twisted (I’d never even removed the handheld showerhead), and for the last year I’ve dealt with water spraying sideways...on both sides! Goes right in my eyes and out into the bathroom when I open the shower curtain. I can’t tell you how annoying it’s been. Since this was fairly pricey I’ve just dealt with it but it’s a real bummer. If you buy one anyway, don’t write a review till you hit month 4-5!

Just awesome, I have had two of these and I HIGHLY recommend...change filter about 1 time per month and it really truly cuts down or out the chlorine...how do I know? Because my skin, scalp and hair are extremely sensitive to chlorine and will flake if there is any in my shower....clearly, this really works because I can tell when it stops working and my skin feels itchy and dry.\After using this for ONE year, I am adding to this review and taking away one star: So, for me, I am Super sensitive to everything, especially chlorine in water, so if someone wanted a test subject for this to see if it truly works, I'd be a great one....and I am pretty sure this is not a placebo effect either: before using this filter, I experienced intense itching after using the shower...it was so bad, I'd cry and itch and just could not figure out what was wrong with me! So, I read and read online about chlorine in water and what would help with getting rid of it -- I have to say that this must be working to remove most of the chlorine because my skin and scalp and hair are about 90% better than before, which is huge to me -- visible results, too, not just placebo affect.However, I have to echo what others have said about the cheapness of this product, and to spend $80 on a shower head and then $50 for 5 cartridges, I expect so much more. #1 the shower head is made out of cheap plastic which of course cracks, erodes over time. My shower head, after one year, needs replaced as it's gushing water up top and on sides and it's annoying.#2, getting the darn filter cartridge OUT of the area it sits in is the most annoying thing ever -- sometimes (rarely), it pops right out, but I have had to push on it with sharp object from top, resort to putting olive oil in with the cartridge to coax it out -- this needs to be designed SO much better than it is.Redesign it, make it even better for customers. Overall, I would say buy at your own risk. I have 4 more cartridges to use up, but then will probably move on to research another filter to replace this one.

I cannot wait to give this to my brother! I have given one as a gift to my mom and have one myself. I have had it for 2 years and still love it and especially love the added water pressure!! This is an excellent idea for a gift or for yourself!

I’ve had this product for under 3 months and the top of the shower head broke. For something that costs this much money, you would think it wouldn’t break easily. Maybe the company should consider using more durable materials.It also leaked from the first time I installed. I was sure to use the provided tape and tighten it, but it still leaked.

for the price you would expect it to last, The cheap plastic shower head cracked and now sprays water side ways. Maybe if this was $20 I would not mind the short life but for $79 I expect to have a product that lasts for years.
