Great set. Works for beginners.

I have used this set for only a few days. So far it is good for learning. Different color inks, and multiple tips are useful for learning the different uses.The only thing that could be better, is actual instructions on assembling the pens together. Especially for beginners who have never used this type of pen, I had to take a few minutes to figure it out on my own.

Great pens that deliver great penmanship. As a writer I love the nostalgia of writing which seems to be a lost art. Today's society has totally submitted to the technologies of the 21st century.

There is an 'instruction booklet' of sorts, which consists of 2 pages in each of the 4 European languages.But those instructions are quite light (as one might imagine with only 2 pages devoted).For example, put the ink cartridge into the pen is pretty obvious, but how does one get the ink to begin flowing - put it into a medical centrifuge? It doesn't happen by magic.There are videos, but as someone who has been watching videos since the 1950s, before a video is halfway through, I've forgotten the first half.If only there was someone with a PEN that knew how to WRITE an actual comprehensive manual.I entertain myself by thinking of the mind-set of someone in the PEN business who fails to think of such a radical concept as a WRITTEN MANUAL.

I know, I know. People don't know how to read anymore, and they certainly don't know how to write, let alone writing in the style of Caligraphy! Haha! But what can I say? As an author, I LOVE reading AND Writing and this style of writing sets itself above the 'normal' writing. As soon as I got this new set, wrote letters! To friends, family, children, neighbors, a chef at a restaurant I frequent and even to Ex-Lovers just to let them know they STILL cannot have me back. Haha! Caligraphy... ENOUGH SAID! Oh wait, the REVIEW: This set comes with EVERYTHING YOU'D NEED, whether you're a beginner or a Novice getting back to what you've loved in your past. And with the carrying case, it can't be beat!

I recently started doing calligraphy again. I purchased these for practice and the pen quality is good. Would be a great gift for a beginner or if you are rusty and want to start writing again. Value for the money is on spot too.
