The classic press
This is the classic model of the press: perfect for making one medium sized pressed tongue. Highly recommended - it has never let me down

Round Meat Press
Small but holds a lot of compressed meat. Works very well and is strong and well made. Delighted, many thanks! Arrived very quickly and was very well, packaged.

Adequate for a small ox tongue
Could be bigger. Struggled to get the full tongue in the press. Also the press disc distorts under pressure

Perfect for making pressed ox tongue!
I bought this specifically to make pressed ox tongue, and it fits the job perfectly. The only thing I'd have wanted different is that the disc that is pressed on top of the meat is a thick and hard kind of plastic. When the pressure was applied onto the hot cooked tongue, the disc BENT and remained bent after it cooled. The earlier version of this press that I saw had a METAL plate, that probably withstood the pressure better.

Great value for money
After reading the reviews I decided to buy this for my husband. It works brilliantly, very sturdy and great quality. He is thrilled with his new gadget, would highly recommend this product.

MEAT PRESS
This is a "must-have" for every kitchen. Obviously its chief purpose is meat pressing which it does superbly, but the other day I had a disaster with a chocolate cake which I took out of the oven too soon, tripped over something, threw the cake into the air where it fell, a bit uncooked in the middle, on to the floor. I scooped it into the original tin and cooked it a further ten minutes. WhenI took it out it looked like Mount Vesuvius. I still wasn't going to give up so out came the MEAT PRESS! I put half in the press, then a layer of raspberry jam, then the remainder on the top and pressed it in the fridge. Next day I put a thick layer of chocolate fudge topping and everyone asked for seconds and for the recipe. OF COURSE, I DIDN'T GIVE THEM THAT!SHEILA ELLIS

Buy with great care. See one somewhere first.
Its a poor product really. Its not big enough. Its a pity Robert Welch didnt look at the old Victorian ones and produce something more like that. You can only get a small piece of brisket into it. Its pot as well so I dont see it lasting long term my mothers was metal and could easily take a large brisket. This is only of use to do summer puddings or something like that.
