This little pump is surprisingly robust. It's attached underneath the foam panel in the photo and just keeps running under pretty harsh conditions. It's attached directly to the 12vdc solar panel and runs all day long. Has been doing this for several weeks now and I'm pleasantly surprised.Update: After a couple of months, it has started to make quite a noise, but is still pumping. I think a bearing is starting to fail.Update #2: That last update wasn't the end. I unplugged the pump for a couple of days thinking it was finished. A couple of weeks ago I plugged it in again just to see if it still made the noise. To my surprise it ran fine and has been running now for a couple of weeks without any bearing noise. Whatever was wrong seems to have self-corrected.

#1. Pump came with less than a foot of power lead. No big deal, except that doesn’t even get the splice point out of the water so it has to be a waterproof connection. Really, how hard would it be to give us at least 3 feet of cable? This added about $40 to the project to buy butt splices, crimping tool for uninsulated connectors and water-proof heat shrink.#2. The discharge port snapped off when I tried to put a hose fitting and hose on it.

I am using this in a 50 gallon pond that is being run by solar, I run the pump all day long and it has no problems.Great little pump just be sure what your expectations are and what application you are using it for. Well made and value for the money. I. Am happy with its performance, but it is a small pump, looks bigger in the picture.

I hope it isthe 800l/hr pump I originally ordered. I will still use the 500l/hr as a backup.Just wish I has identical pumps. or a way to rectify this problem. (pump still un-used)

I read the directions. I did not run the pump dry. It did not overheat!Seriously, you do need to know that the fittings are 1/2" parallel pipe thread, not NPT!. if you try to use 1/2" NPT you will need a bit of teflon tape. Do not over tighten or you will snap the plastic fitting.But the pumps work great!!!

I thought this pump would have been larger, guess I neglected to read the hard specs. Nonetheless it is operating well in our application as a fountain pump. It would have been nice to have a longer lead but soldering on an extension and sealing the he!! Out of it is working for now.

Bought this pump to replace one that failed, used to circulate water in a patio pond to rid the mosquitoes, worked great for just about a month then quite running all together, messaged seller and got a bla bla bla response wanting a picture, a picture of the pump not running…really? Maybe mine was a fluke but with a response like I received it’s obvious there is no standing behind the product they sell. Very disappointing.
