Works great.
I tried out a battery quick disconnect with a twist-off design, and it’s pretty handy. The twist-off mechanism makes it quick and easy to disconnect or reconnect the battery without needing tools, which is great for convenience. The build feels sturdy and secure, so there’s no worry about accidental disconnections. It’s a simple but effective solution if you need to frequently disconnect your battery or just want an easy way to cut power. Definitely useful and well-made for the price.

Cutting down the power!
Love the quality and durability this part has. The ease of installation is amazing and it fits the battery to the T. It works as it should and kills the power like it should. Great item to purchase.

Caveat Emptor
Not high quality, but functional.Be very careful not to bear down with your wrenches as it is weak “pot metal” and you can easily break it.Also, there is no “stop” on the knob, so you have to guess when you have unscrewed it enough to break the connection.Additionally, the washer that is supposed to cap the post is too small, so get a larger washer to utilize that feature.Lastly, there is no stop on the square bolt head, so you need two wrenches instead of one.In conclusion, it is cheaply made, has a few things that would improve it, but it will work if you are careful.

Better than the type offered at AutoZone and Advanced Auto
Purchased this for when the vehicle is not being driven or used for extended periods of time so the battery won't drain from sitting long periods. The install was pretty forward and easy, maybe 10 minutes at most. The only issue is the washer attached to the top of the battery post you connect the OEM cable to. The washer was a little small, and would not hold the battery terminal in place, so I opted for a slightly larger washer to ensure the terminal would not come loose. The plastic guide shim is a great idea, making it easy to disconnect / connect when needed.Overall, a quality product. I'd recommend

Misleading description and reviews
Measurements on descriptions is off. Post are .50 “. It’s not made for a standard post on 12 volt auto or boat battery. The one end you have to bend way out of tolerance to get on battery post. The other end only works if you have eyelets on the cords. To Small for a regular battery connector. I was able to stretch it out then hammer on post. Then squeeze and stretch and bend on post to make fit. The other end all my cords were on eyelets . That’s why i didn’t return. Misleading description and reviews. Very poor fit.

does exactly what it says
not really sure what to say, it does its job fine. plastic feels a little flimsy but i'm not worried about it. just make sure you unscrew it plenty, because sometimes if you tap the plastic top it'll touch just enough to let current through. used it on a car with a weird alarm system so you can guess how i found out.

Beware of not tightening enough.
Works ok, but be aware that if it's not firmly tightened it can work loose from vibrations while driving . I had my car go into limp-home mode because of this. It wasn't completely loose but would break contact intermittently. It had me chasing my tail and took a bit to diagnose. I have a blade switch on another vehicle that works flawlessly and might replace this one with one like that.

It works, yet its so simple and plain
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Works for a car battery. Nothing more to say, it connects the car battery, it disconnects the battery, voltage is OK with this. The screw heads are round, and they turn when you tighten them the first time - had to use pliers. Got no clear indication when its on/off.
