Beauty Is In The Ear Of The Beholder
I have no idea what the negative reviewers are talking about. You just need to set it up properly. I have these in three of my vehicles along with a Toto head unit. They sound phenomenal. If you're looking for a major overload thumping giant subwoofer system then this amp isn't for you. If you're just looking for a really high level of volume and clarity, if they're set up properly they work great. I couldn't be happier with mine.

Utterly useless and waste of money
This thing is an utter piece of c... junk. I really regret letting the return window lapse without returning it. Installation was fairly easy, and I've had it installed for months. But after growing increasingly frustrated with it repeatedly shutting off my audio, I finally decided to go through the trouble of stripping this trash from my car, and I'm much happier for it. This thing did absolutely nothing to improve my sound. It actually made it worse by making the audio more prone to clipping. But the absolute worst thing about it is the overheat protection. I had the amplifier set at 30% power. Despite that, if I turned my Atoto headset's volume to over about 75%, I risked killing the audio entirely. Because this garbage overheats that easily, and then it shuts itself (and the audio) off for protection. The higher the volume, the more likely that will happen. And once the audio is killed, to get it working again, I'd either have to restart my Atoto headset or turn my car off & on, and sometimes even had to wait 5-10 minutes for this thing to cool down, before those things would be effective. I found nothing in the manual that helped fixed this problem.SERIOUSLY, don't waste your time and don't waste your money on this "amplifier". I have absolutely no idea what it was made for, except maybe so that Atoto can to use it to rob customers. I can't think of one benefit of installing it. It didn't help my speakers sound better. It doesn't improve the bass. It didn't increase my speakers' volume limit. It's just an overpriced paperweight.

No problems yet
Was hoping this would be a bit more plug and play with my ATOTO A6 PF but it wasn’t, I had to completely rewire my radio as it was already installed. Thought I could just unplug the harness from the radio and the harness from this would go in between the radio and its original harness. Not so simple unfortunately. Once I got it wired in this amp seams to be working very well. I still have to run the separate power wire so I expect it will work even better once that’s connected. I tinkered with the audio settings for about 30 minutes and the amp never cut out like others complained about. Amp does get pretty warm to the touch. The trick I’ve found to keeping the amp from overheating is to not over drive it. Volume leveling is important. Keep the volume low on the head unit and turn up the speaker volume adjustments on the amp up. I have my amp adjusted so my preferred listing volume is about half of the volume slider on the head unit. No overheating issues as of yet. The amp also need to be able to breath and not be in a small enclosed space. My is under the passenger seat. Under seat seems to be the best place where in can benefit from an air conditioned space.

Amp goes thermal after one song
I wanted it to work. I think it’s just too good to be true. When it worked it was nice but if you want to listen to you music at higher volume it get too hot and turns off. There is no fan for this amp but with the location so close to my HVAC vents I was able to route cold air to the amp in hopes it would help. Unfortunately it did not and continued to go thermal on me. I returned the product with no issues.

GOES INTO FAIL SAFE TOO OFTEN
THE CONCEPT OF EASE OF INSTALLATION IS THERE. PERFORMANCE ISNT. IT AMPLIFIES EVERYTHING AND I MEAN EVERYTHING, IF YOU HAVE A HISS IN YOUR SPEAKERS. THAT IS AMPLIFIED AS WELL. IF YOU MAKE THE VOLUME TOO LOUD IT POPS AND GOES INTO FAIL SAFE. BASOCALLY YOU NEED TO SHUT THE CAR OFF FOR 15 SEC THEN RESTART AFTER AND IT WILL WORK AGAIN.

Complex to install
I purchased this Amp along with the 7" atoto head unit thinking it would be a perfect match. Nothing could be farther from the truth. It comes with all kinds of cables for different pin count adapters and all kinds of screws to mount. The area it lacks in is telling the installer how to wire it to the head unit and speakers! It does have directions but when followed it was disconnecting power from my head unit. I just wired the head unit up without the Amp and decided to deal with it later.

Big piece of c**p.
I had this working for about 8 months till it stop working. Just like others. It started with turning up the volume and it would stop working. Ultimately it stopped working all together. I would not go through the hassle of purchasing this again. Now ill have to spend hour rewiring the head unit. urggggg....
