Great 4k performance and very overclockable
The media could not be loaded. Well I took a chance on this card through Amazon warehouse deal.It was £760 for a "used very good" condition noting that the original box was damaged and it was now in a replacement box. When the card arrived it was indeed in a standard Amazon box and when opening it up, the inner packaging was taped up and the anti static bad had seen better days so I was feeling some dread and nerves lolThe card was in great condition luckily and I am happy to report works flawlessly , card had no wear and tear and looked completely untouched so grabbed a bargainSo although the card looked fine and untouched I still had to get it hooked up and make sure it was workingI installed it into my pc (Ryzen 9 7900x, 64gb DDR5 ram 6tb of m.2 storage) and also installed my new BEQUIET 1200w PSU, especially as these new cards are drawing more power these daysI Managed to install the drivers and stress test the card with furmark times spy and fire strike extream to really make sure nothing was wrong with the cardWas over the moon to find out everything was working correctlyGaming I've only tested a few so far:Shadow of the tomb raiderat native 4k no upscaling was running over 130fps at max settingsReturnalNow this was a game my RX 6800 and 5800x struggled with at 4k. I had to set the resolution scale to 55% and the graphics preset to medium for over 60fps gameplay no ray tracing obviously lolThe 7900xt at 4k was able to do over 120fps with the epic preset no resalution scaling with the minimum FPS at 64fpsTurning ray tracing on obviously these cards are no where near the level of Nvidia when it comes to ray tracing but using the high preset raytracing also set to high for lighting and shadows the FPS max was 78 and the minimum was 56fps so still very playable but tbf I never see the benefits of raytracing just the performance loss so I'll be not using raytracing lolOverclockingNow as the out of the box settings were working perfectly and having 3 8 pin connectors (you will need a pretty beefy PSU for this card ) I wanted to see how far I could push this card for more performanceNow at stock I saw this card boost to 2678 MHz during returnal and using the AMD drivers "GPU overclocking" setting it pushed the card to 2815 MHzSwitching to manual I cranked the powerlimit to the max undervolted the voltage to 1050mv and the GPU to 2800mhz and the video memory to 2700mhz and ran stable during gaming and BenchmarksTurning off zero rpn and setting the max fan rpm to 75% saw the temps reach 67'c so this is a very overclockable cardOverall very happy with the product Asus have made a very good card and should definitely be considered when looking at these GPUsOne thing to note is you will need a very big case for this GPU I use a thermaltake fulltower eatx case and this does not look small in it lol so make sure that you have sufficient space for the GPU

Enormous cooler makes for great performance and OC
The 7900 XTX itself is more powerful than Nvidia's 4080, has more VRAM, and costs significantly less. The one caveat being that the ray tracing performance is worse on the XTX, but the ray tracing performance on the 4080 is still not good enough to enable it without also running at a lower resolution and upscaling. This version of the XTX specifically stands out due to its enormous cooling system: the card itself takes effectively 4 "slots" and is so big it won't fit in smaller cases, the entire size being due to the giant heatsink and three large fans. As is normal for non-reference XTX boards, it has three slots for power cables instead of two, allowing it to draw more power and sustain better performance. As a nice extra touch I've not seen elsewhere, the power cable slots light up with red LEDs if they're not connected when the rest of the power is on.The enormous cooling system, in practice, means it is far quieter under load, and sustains high performance better than competitor cards. I was able to easily overclock this model without necessarily needing to undervolt it, the cooler simply takes care of the excess heat: overclocked and running at 100% utilisation it holds a steady 60 degrees on the GPU main sensor and 84 on the junction, while remaining very quiet. This overclock allows it to compete with the far more expensive Nvidia 4090 in some titles, namely Cyberpunk 2077.In terms of presentation, the TUF series has always aimed at a vaguely military theme, with the result being that the card looks like something the marines use in Halo. Once it's in the case, this isn't so apparent, with the side on view being fairly plain except for the enormous RADEON branding and what ASUS describes as a "splash" of RGB at one end - this is a TUF symbol and a line beneath it that, by default, cycle the now-ubiquitous "rainbow" effect but can be considerably customised by the full-featured but slightly clunky ASUS Armoury Crate software. Finally, the retail packaging is well presented, and comes with a couple of nice extras: a graphics card support of the type that extends to a height and locks in, rather than the support bracket type which I can never get to work properly, a TUF branded cable tie and some thick cardboard that can be folded into a phone stand. Amusingly, the GPU support has a screwdriver hidden inside it for doing PC maintenence. This is a great card, while it's hard to say it's good "value" at the enormous prices high end cards command these days, combined with the lowered prices, current cashback deal and compared with the competition from Nvidia, it's a good buy if you're looking in this market segment.
