A good insight
A sweet book about Jesus’s life and a new insight into Charles Dickens in his writing about Jesus. Some good messaging in the book too. My son and I both appreciated it.

Charles Dickens best work.
An enjoyable and educational read for our youth. However, because of the times, the reader will notice the grammar is different. This story, The Life of Our Lord, was, by its author, Charles Dickens, written (specifically and only) for his children. The editor (my view) has placed a long list advertisement about his own writings in this book, yet no list of the writer's other work. Hmmm.

A children's book for adults
Dickens wrote this to explain Christ to his children. But he stipulated that it could not be released to the public until well after his death. This is not a Dickens novel but a series of vignettes about the life of Christ - it gives us one more insight into just how good a writer Dickens actually was.
