Believe it or not I make good whiskey from pineapples and bananas I grow in Hawaii. Make the mash and let it cook for 14 days. Then into my Air Still. (also have a 5 gallon still that I got on Amazon). I just pour the distilled vodka into this diffuser and 3 days later you have a good whiskey. Tried the cinnamon bark and came out with a Fireball whiskey just like in the stores. I do blind taste tests with friends and more than half the time they pick my whiskey over store bought brands. It's a real pretty diffuser too.

This is a very neat gift to give a young whiskey drinker or beginning collector. Don’t be fooled that you can’t get all of these things and more to gift box yourself for a wise whiskey drinker but if you want a one stop shop,neat gift for the price,this is definitely it! My son has just started exploring the whiskey world the past few years and loves an old fashioned and I came across this gift set. Let’s just say that it is an absolute hit! He has had so much fun and his friends love the concoctions he’s made and it’s a great little conversation piece after a long week. The wood chips are very mildly scented so the whiskey does need to sit for a few weeks as recommended but the kit can be used with and chips or herbs you want to buy now or later,a great plus! The filter holes are a bit larger so when you are ready to actually strain the whiskey for drinking you will need to drain it through a coffee filter or something to get the remaining wood chips out but there are No complaints with the gift box. He has enjoyed it and I’m glad I didn’t wait until Christmas to give it to him.

Not only do I love it, but the company handled an issue I had early on. The second time I used the container a small leak developed in the base. We wrote to the company and they sent a new base right away. They provide a nice selection woods and spices/flavors to infuse the bourbon. My favorite hands down is the dried orange peel. I also like the pecan wood. Be careful with the glass container. I’ve already broken one (my fault - I knocked it off the kitchen counter onto a tile floor).

After washing put the bottle i decided to give it a try, after filling the basket on the bottom i screwed it on as tight as i could, filled it up with rum, capped it, and gave it a shake. It didn’t take long after shaking it that i saw drips coming from the bottom of the bottle. My guess the gasket at the bottom doesn’t seal correctly.

Had an issue with the first bottle, seller immediately reached out and send me a new one. Now its working perfectly. Great company! And the wood flavors are amazing.

My dad loved this gift. He’s a big whisky and bourbon guy, so he put this to use right away. He says it works great and he still uses it probably a year later.
