I purchased this stand a year ago. The stand is simple to assemble. The empty stand is light weight and the locking wheels make it easy to move around the deck.We filled with water the first summer, but when it came time to store for the winter months, we drained it. It was difficult to get all of the water out and the water had a hard time of evaporating. This year we filled with playground sand. When the base is full, it is sturdy and holds very well against the wind.

You can fill it with either sand or water; I filled it with water. There are brakes that make it impossible for the stand to move. My umbrella fits smoothly and the fasteners make it to that my umbrella barely moves. There will still be a slight amount of wiggle because the fasteners don't directly go into the holes of my umbrella however this might be different for different umbrellas.

So happy I ordered this. It works great and saves me from having to try and lift and maneuver a heavy base for my umbrella.

Been very happy with this so far. Having the fill hole on the side is a bit of an issue so I filled with sand so I would not have to keep refilling with water. The wheels work well and I love that I can lock them down. Overall very satisfied. Took off one star for the fill hole because I really wanted to be able to use water but it because very laborious to keep taking the umbrella off.

Great weighted umbrella stand. Easy to fill with water for lots of extra weight. Others I’ve purchased were not heavy enough and still allowed my open umbrella to be blown over. Not this one. Plus the fact that it has lockable wheels on the bottom allows you to move it around anywhere you need to. I highly recommend it.

The media could not be loaded. I wanted to get an umbrella stand for my old umbrella and really liked the idea of having a movable stand that I could put anywhere I need it. My old umbrella ended up too heavy for it. I bought one that was recommended on Amazon. The new umbrella doesn’t fit the stand too well either. When open it topples over if it’s windy. It’s fine when there’s no wind. I filled the stand with water. You can fill it with sand. I’m going to try to add more water to it. Maybe it will become sturdier. Assembly was very easy.New information: just wanted to share, the umbrella stand was not sturdy when filled with water. I also think it somehow evaporated from it. It was much lighter when I was emptying it. Emptying it was not easy. The way the opening is made, you can’t really dump all water out of it. So, regardless, I filled it with sand. As you’ll see it in the video, it was a painful process. The opening was so small, I could only put in a tiny amount of sand inside! It took me around 2 hours to fill it! And the opening is on the side of the stand. You might think it’s would be more logical to have the opening on the top of the stand and bigger. Major design flow. It got sturdier after filling it out with sand. I’m changing my rating to 1 star bc of major design flaws. Would not buy it if id known of those!

When filled with water, this umbrella base provides excellent support for a large patio umbrella, and the four wheels make it easy to move around.

Not as satisfied as the others I've purchased. This water tank opening is on the side instead of on top, and the tank is not big enough to give it the weight it needs to withstand the high wind days. The extension to insert the umbrella could be longer in order to hold tighter and sturdier than the smaller holder. It is easy to move and it does have locks on the 4 wheels - which is very helpful. It has a good look as well.
