Good and strong.
After having to throw away a well known brand grinder, I took a punt on this one, partly as it got good reviews on an independent site.First of all, it is not a grinder, it does not grind. Very few of the cheaper ones are grinders, they chop. However, having used this one just the once so far, it does to the job very well. It is solidly built, and feels good quality with a strong motor. The stainless steel bowl can be removed. If I had a minor criticism, it’s the included instructions are rather brief, although it is a simple machine to operate.

It's convenient
Is cool that you can take it out and clean it.It activates kind of weird, you have to close it and press down to activate it and they do this so your weight acts like a switch on 🔌 and as a pressure seald for what you are grinding to not get out of the cup, it's kind of clever But it's not possible to prevent dust to go out of the machine. It takes few goes with the machine to get something to dust but it works very good and it will make many kinds of seeds become dust or you could stop on any state of grind that you prefer. You have to be careful because it feels easy to break when you are putting the cup back on the machine but it actually works very reliably one you know it.You can't grind very wet stuff, if you put even a tbs of water inside it will spill everywhere on the machine, this is not a problem really but is a little mess extra to clean.I think is a good spice grinder just don't add liquid inside

Excellent buy
I have to say that this little machine didn’t disappoint one bit! It’s absolutely amazing and l just wish ld bought it ages ago. I wanted to make something for you nutritional yeast capsules and this reduced it to powder in seconds, as it did with herbs and seeds.I used the ‘wet’ container to make some almond flour as the other container was full at the time, it made perfect fine flour again with a few pulses. So thrilled with this and there’s little noise also.I had previously bought a different brand which didn’t work properly and made a terrible noise.Very easy to clean as the cups screw off.One downside for me is that l find the cups soo hard to screw off the base, l can cope with this however.

Better than expected.
Better than expected. Simple to use. Performs very well grinding coffee beans to a fine dust if needed.

Fire hazard.
Bought as a spice grinder. Wet & Dry. First job out the box, ginger root. Cut into small pieces to assist the grinder. 5 seconds of use smoke was billowing out of the base where the motor is. Very hot, fire hazard. Do not recommend...

Good girnder
Does a great job, BUT it was very difficult to undo the cup from the base!It needed alot of elbow grease -- maybe that should be indicated somewhere.

30 minute delay required between herbs and spices
What they don’t tell you about this is that if you want to grind multiple herbs and spices, you’re going to have to stop and give this machine a 30 minute rest so its motor can cool down. That was in the instructions, which surprisingly, given UK regulations, wasn’t included in the package. Instead there was a horrible plastic, paper backed sticker on the machine, that was already starting to peel off. This gave you a link to get these. There was also a sheet of paper, four colour printed in multiple languages, telling you why they’d decided not to include an instruction booklet. This, according to them, is for environmental reasons. Of course this is belied by the use of the horrible plasticized sticker and plastic bags in the packaging. And printing, stapling, folding and trimming booklets, or getting a multi fold on a large sheet of paper, is an expense, as is the cost of inserting into the carton. Removing the sticker was the typical time consuming pain that consumers shouldn’t have to undergo in the 21st century. As a coffee grinder this works very well, though it’s worth stopping and shaking every now and then, as part cut beans can get stuck under the blade (as they can in other grinders). I found it very easy to get the grind I wanted, both for cafetière use and my espresso machine. It’s also very easy to clean. The wet grinder also works well, though as you’d expect, cleaning takes a little more effort. And again, it’s easy to get the cut you want. The 30 minute rest time is a real inhibitor to the functionality of this machine if you’re batch cooking with fresh herbs and spices. And that gets it marked down. The two plastic lids (One for each cutter insert) fit well, remain attached in use and are easy to get off. The top lid, which looks an encumbrance, isn’t, though it requires worktop space when you’re using the machine. The lead on this is short, so if you’re short of electrical sockets, or they’re in an awkward place, it’s worth bearing that in mind. This came with a plastic spoon with a brush on the other end. That’s gone into the kitchen junk drawer.Would I buy this again? No. It’s easy enough to use and clean, but if I’d known about the cooling down interval, I’d have bought something else.
