I find this mat indispensable, its designed to overhang the edge of the kitchen worktop, it’s solid, robust, stays in place and is absolutely essential in my morning espresso ritual, 19grams fresh ground beans, a few gentle taps of my portafilter on my tamping mat which levels and distributes before tamping for a double shot espresso.

Great. Keeps all the messy coffee off the worktop. Very robust, easy to wash and has a nice little place for the tamper.I like the little niche in the mat to enable you to push the portafilter right up to the edge of the worktop to tamp the coffee. Protects your worktop and looks stylish too.

This is a nice 8mm thick mat that's designed to overhang the edge of a kitchen worktop. It has a marked area for setting the tamping tool on but I find that gets in the way when filling the pressure cup. My espresso machine pressure vessel has twin outlets underneath and this mat has a single, semi circular cut away on its outer edge, where the pressure vessel is held for tamping. Despite this, it works perfectly has been in use daily since I bought it.It's very easily cleaned with a damp cloth.

Great if you have a home espresso machine. Keeps coffee grounds off the side, stops portafilters from being damaged or scratched when tapping/collapsing/tamping/leveling.Great value and highly recommended.Plus not going to lie, it just adds a nice aesthetic to the kitchenAlso wipes clean under the tap really easily
