NOT SILK!!! Synthetic fiber
Purchased this to string pearls and other gemstone beads and wanted colors to match different gems. Wanted silk because of it's strength and durability. Specifically choose this because the listing says it's SILK. It isn't; it's a synthetic fiber that's "silk like". I'll still use it, but I very disappointed that it's not silk.

Nice and Silky -- But FYI, It's Rayon. Makes Pretty Tassels for Jewelry
I bought this for the purpose of making tassels for jewelry. I wanted something inexpensive and with more than one color. This Goelx brand fit the bill perfectly. No, it's not mulberry silk -- it's rayon. However, for the purpose for which I bought it, that's OK. If you are looking for muberry silk -- pass this one by.The biggest reason for my 4 stars (I was debating on 5) is the fact that it is not strong at all -- the thread is very fine and snaps easily. It also wrinkles easily. It is colorfast, though, and dries quickly, so a little bit of water removes the wrinkles. You get a LOT in this box. I have made at least 20 tassels, and if you look in the box, it sill looks full.

Lovely colors, but it's not silk
The colors of this thread are vibrant and the texture is silky, but if you are looking for real silk, this is not it, this is rayon. Still, it looks lovely and I enjoyed sewing with it. I used it to embroider on a hand knitted baby garment (I used four strands together) and it turned out lovely. I expect I will find other uses for it.

Not Silk
I thought this was silk. Now that I read closer, I see it's not. It's a fine product, but the thread is thinner than I needed for my purpose. I'll keep it for other things.

Pretty color assortment
This was not at all the sort of thread I was looking for, but I think the mistake was primarily mine.

Probably not silk
I wasn't aware of the material 'art silk' and ordered this to re-thread my rudraksha. a single thread is weak and easily breaks but three to four threads together gave good strength/hold. This, however, is not silk but is rather made of rayon which I later googled up to check. Rayon is a result of regenerated cellulose. Thus this will behave as cotton and not silk though it looks like silk. If you want pure silk, this is not the best material.
