I already have a 3-step aluminum ladder that's great for use in the house. But often it's too short for things like changing bulbs in overhead lights, or hanging a flagpole off the house. I liked the description of this 5-step one, and the reviews were mostly favorable. The beta review checker gave the reviews an "A" for reliability.It is everything it's supposed to be, and more. I did not find any of the shortcomings some of the reviewers described--flimsy, wobbly, not fit for a senior. I am a senior, and I feel quite safe on it.The ladder is well constructed of mainly aluminum; it seems to have some other metal joints and plastic parts. The four feet on the ladder are shown as "rubber" in one of the photos in the listing, but are described as "PVC" in the description. They are plastic. The steps are wide and grooved, so they are quite safe. On a level surface (the cement landing at my front door) it is solid as a rock--not a millimeter of wobble with this 140 lb person on it. It does wobble on my brick walk, but that's because the bricks aren't level--no fault of the ladder. I love the retractable handle. It gives me something to hold an lean against when I am on one of the higher rungs. The handle locks into place. To slide it back down, you press two locking buttons, one on each side. Another nice feature is a strap with Velcro closure that goes around the handle and holds is in place, so it doesn't slide out during transport. There were less weighty ladders available (this one is 15 lbs), but I'm glad I opted for this one, because I really feel safe on it.There was just one small issue. When I unpacked it, I noticed a dent in the front of the lower step. It's not serious enough to warrant returning or exchanging the ladder. I phoned Amazon about it, and they gave me a generous partial refund.I am very happy, and look forward to many years of use. As soon as I finish this, I'm will use it to replace the batteries in one of my security cameras!

OMG, I cannot tell you how much I love this 3-step ladder. It is soooooo light, you can pull up the handle, but once the ladder is opened the handle will not move. It is the easiest to use ladder that I have ever had in my entire lifetime. If you are looking for a step ladder that is easy to move around the house, easy to use and store, this ladder is for you. I do not own stock in this company, but when I see something I really like, and since I tend to also use reviews, I just wanted to let people know about this 3-step aluminum ladder.

Received this ladder and I was delighted with it—I can reach the floodlights in my house. I have a disability and cannot balance on a ladder, so whatever I’m doing, I have to hold onto the grab bar with one hand. This made me wish that the ladder was taller, or that the grab bar extended higher. I have windows high above a stair landing that open normally, but they are extremely unreachable, so I wanted to see if I could open them comfortably. I couldn’t do it, because I can only stand on the fourth step—I can’t balance myself safely on the fifth since the grab bar is too low and useless on the fifth. This made me wish that I had a taller ladder, so I ordered a 6 step ladder from another company where the grab bar goes to 72 inches instead of 59. I couldn’t have known this before buying, so I’ll just keep both ladders on different floors. Make taller ladders!

This ladder is just the right size to reach everything I need to including my ceiling fan. Light weight and love the extension handle.

Well made. Improvements that I suggest. When closing flat, have a "catch latch" that holds the step ladder closed. Same need for the "pull up" bar, have a latch that hold it DOWN, each time I grab the top of the step ladder, uo goes the pull up bar. Yes, it locks in the UP position, do the same for the down position. It does fold very flat, which id way I purchased. As for weight, it is fine but certainly not light.

I wanted a step ladder that would let my wife reach about 9 ft up to get to the highest shelves in our master closet. This works very well for this purpose. It is sturdy, light weight and is comfortable to be on. We are very happy with it. We simply store it my leaning against the wall behind the door.

This is a great ladder. I needed a lightweight, sturdy, high quality ladder for odd jobs around the house. My old wooden version was heavy, not as sturdy, and not tall enough for some of my needs. I have to admit that this ladder was a bit pricey and the first one I received came with a dent, but thanks to Amazon's amazing return service I got a replacement in a couple of days and I returned the dented one. In general, this ladder is a little on the pricey side, but it is very high quality and lightweight. I would buy it again.
