Solid replacement.
Mechanism was just what I needed. Even though though it was quite a bit longer, I took a hacksaw to trim the square rod, and it popped right into my 18 year old blind and worked a treat.

This was is good
A Roman Blind we'd had a few years failed. We tried to repair it by taking the mechanism apart and seeing what we could do. The answer was, we could do nothing. After watching a video online We saw that we should by a new mechanism such as this. We did so. It was easy to replace the old one, and now the blind works perfectly again.
