Easy Grammar Plus Student Workbook

It’s really good!

Great for kiddos or adults!!!

Great book, would definitely recommend! I'm a homeschooling mom and I started using this workbook with my 12 yr old (11 at the time). I also bought the teacher's edition which contains all the answers as well as the same pages in this workbook. I'm glad I did. When my 12 yr old was about halfway through the workbook I started my 9 yr old on it. I take pictures of the blank workbook pages contained in the teacher's edition, send them to my email, then print them off for my 9 yr old to do. I like the approach this author uses and it seems to work well with both my kids (even my stubborn 12 yr old who hates grammar and sometimes struggles with it).

I have just recently began using this workbook for two Deaf high school students who were having an impossible time learning to read and write English.Obviously, they can not know that something 'sounds'wrong like people who can hear do, so they are really dependent on learning the rules of the English language and being able to rely on the memorization of those rules. In that regard, this book is a winner! The grammar rules are clearly laid out and are incremental, building upon what was already learned. And I just love being able to cross out the prepositional phrases first! They had always previously "gotten lost in all the words" and would get so frustrated they would just give up. This makes everything so much easier and I am already seeing improvements; including their attitude toward English! This book is also written at such a level that they aren't insulted by kiddie pictures and babyish graphics. It is very professional and I just can't say enough about it. I only wish I had found it sooner!

We are a family of homeschoolers and the English grammar curriculum we were using was difficult for our daughter to understand. She was having problems picking the grammar rules out of the all the "fluff" in the book, the pictures, the captions, the printed web links (a lot of which were outdated and no longer active). We asked around and found an overwhelming number of homeschool families were using Easy Grammar and Easy Grammar Plus. We now understand why. It is no frills, no fluff and no muss. The pages are easy to read, no photos, simply black and white typeset. There are lots of drills, which are essential to retaining the rules, and the books are well organized. I would recommend this system of learning to anyone.

Happy with this book. My daughter is a homeschooler and this is part of her 7th grade curriculum. We had originally just purchased the teachers guide because reviews said it includes the student pages, it does... however the book is ENORMOUS and the pages are not perforated to be removed for the student so I had to fumble with this huge book everyday trying to make photocopies for her to do her assignments. The student book everything she needs is right there. For the convenience, it's worth getting in my opinion.

I used it with my daughter years ago, and now I'm using it with my granddaughter. Beginning by identifying prepositional phrases and crossing them out eliminates all the confusion about subject-verb agreement. I heartily recommend this manual, especially for homeschoolers!
