Keeps Our Whole Room Cool
I couldn’t be happier with this air conditioner! It’s a total game-changer, especially during those scorching summer days. The cooling power is phenomenal—my entire room reaches the perfect temperature in no time, and it stays consistently cool. I love how quiet it runs, too—I can relax or sleep without any annoying hum. Installation was straightforward, and the remote control is super convenient for adjusting settings from across the room. Overall, this AC unit has exceeded all my expectations. Highly recommend!

Almost perfect...Almost! Easy install with proper tools. Shim may be required for proper fitment.
First, I'll address what my concerns were when buying this after reading the reviews;1) Is it truly "Universal?" Yes. It will work with both clockwise and counter-clockwise hoses.2) Is it going to be difficult to install the hose? No. Lots of reviewers complaining about how difficult it is to get a 5" hose to fit inside the "threads". It may be, if you don't have the right tools (see photographs). If you have a pair of long reach curved jaw needle-nose pliers, it's very easy. Just extend the hose so the ribs are showing, set the ribs on one of the sets of threads, then use the needle-nose pliers to pull the hose ribs over the other set of threads. It literally took me less than a minute.3) Will it fit into my double-hung window casement properly? No. Thus the 4 stars. The adjustable casement sleeves, though durable, sit too low in the casement for the hose to attach properly (see photo). I will need to come up with a shim for it to set on for the window to close properly.Pros: Durable, very flexible length for proper window fitment. Fits hose well.Cons: Shim may be required for proper fitment in deeper window casements.Expensive for what you are actually getting, which is 4 pieces of plastic (for the 60" kit) and 4 set screws. Although, if I needed one, I'd spend the money again just so I know that I'm getting a quality kit.

It works as advertised and it’s good quality
We’ve had eight portable air conditioners. So, we are very familiar with the installation process. This time we wanted to use our sliding glass door instead of a window in the living room. This works for us with no problem. However, you can only have the air duct exit at the bottom of the door/adapter. Another words, you cannot have the air duct exit at the same level as the air conditioner hose. It would be more efficient if the vent did not have to go down to reach the exit hole at the bottom. The design and quality are much better than any we’ve ever had that were provided with the unit at the time of purchase, including the very expensive units. They only provide one extra bolt and wingnut, and that was barely enough because one of them was defective and another one was less than perfect but we were able to use it. The other thing you should consider is once you install. The stick on insulation strips, you would have to cut them to take it apart so it would be better to leave it put together when you’re not using it. Also sliding apart. The individual pieces was very difficult. Even my husband had a really hard time. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend the adapter kit and I think it’s a very good and fair price.

Worked perfectly with my sliding glass door
I bought this to use as a converter because I don't have a window, instead just a sliding glass door. Worked perfectly and my air conditioning unit. I did use tape to close off some of the gaps, between the panels and the door, but other than that it came with everything I needed.

The quality is good
The quality is good but the thing I have to tell you is on a regular sledding last door. It is short one piece. So that would require you to buy another one or two just close up the hole that’s left. It’s a little disheartening, but the quality is very good. Just be aware.

NOT FOR SLIDING DOORS!!!!
NOT FOR SLIDING DOORS! I bought this because it advertises being made for sliding glass doors but it most certainly is not. After hours of trying to get it to fit nothing about it fit in the sliding glass door. The picture you see is the best I could get it in there. There is nothing special about my sliding door. It’s pretty basic. The bottom doesn’t fit and neither does the sides as you can see. Piece of junk and the company falsely advertises. Requested a refund.
