This heavy hammer and chisel kit is a beast. I had to pression chisel a 12inch thick by 9inch solid concrete that was overpoured form our house foundation. I had to make way for drainage form our downspouts to connect with the 4 inch PVC underground. The heavy hammer was compact so I could get the chisel in the correct angle to score the concrete and it was like a giant ice cube when it cracked clean. The sharp edge on the chisel was un blemished, the guard saved my hand more than once, the gloves helped with holding both tools and eye protection fit over my glasses which was great. The hammer handle fit my hand perfectly and its no slip grip allowed to hit with force , its a must have

I use this set both for rockhounding and for breaking up rough for tumbling (okay, and of course opening geodes, I’m in Indiana! Excellent, high quality, nothing cheap or flimsy in these parts! I only recently purchased, but it shows every sign that I’ll be cracking with this set for a good long time!

HEAVY DUTY, NOT FOR PRECISION. If you need precision you'll need something smaller. I initially bought it to break open geodes, but it does more of a "HULK SMASH" on those. But if you need to chisel cement out of your floor or driveway, this will do it. The hammer is like a small sledgehammer.Good weight. I priced these individually at the hardware store. Very good value for your money.

Nice tool to break up rocks in the garden. Chisel was great and long enough, not like the smaller chisels they sell in box stores. Great product, that with Goggles and gloves, you will need them

I liked the good quality product, just what I expected

Im just smashing agates with it. Holding up pretty good for the price. Very heavy and nice size. Performs perfect for what im using it for. I hope to take it to a fossil bed with limestone and see how easy it works on that.

The handle on the hammer/sledge that I received is 9.25" long. 11" would have been perfect for me.. 10" would have been OK. The dimensions provided in the advertisement suggest that the handle is 10.02" long. NOT accurate. The actual height of the entire hammer, including the head is 11.25", NOT 11.4". The point being this hammer/sledge is appreciably less effective with the short handle. An inch too short is TOO short. Otherwise not bad for an inexpensive sledge. The accompanying instructions say don't worry - if the chisel's handguard slips down. That statement is worrisome in itself.
