Just received this router and it works! Had an Asus RT-AX86U (what a kerfuffle that was - took me 3 days to try and set it up, delayed in shipping by a month, did not work using it's own 192.168.50.1, even went to Asus support, etc, finally had enough and sent it back.). Got the refund (thank you Amazon) and went hunting for another wireless router. Picked this one, because AB here doesn't use a smart phone, a smart phone app is out of the question. But this dang thing worked! During the setup even the firmware was updated. Follow the procedure on setting it up and boy howdy, did it work. Found everything. Setup new passwords for everything (too many spongers in the local neighborhood now).There are two things I don't like - one you have to agree with their stupid silly policy of "let us watch everything you do" and their Netgear armor program- I use my own and made sure to use the latest encyrption (wpa 3 plus MAC address filtering. Since one cannot disagree with their setup policy until one sends an email or letter to a different address, one needs to be aware of this. And the 2nd, I did tell it no to the Netgear Armor, but had to go back in to make sure no subscription was implemented. Couldn't figure out if it was, but filled out their request just the same.But I love this. 1gb on the 3 computers, 2 Roku devices, 2 iPads, 3 laptops, 3 smart phones (not my flip phone) - not a drop. So far, so good. If I get a year or so, no biggie as I plan to go to fiber in 1.5 years anyway. Upgraded from a Linksys E2500 (10/100) to this (10/100/1000). Wifi is good on all those iPads, laptops and smart phones. I have relatives from South Korea visiting and when they come, out comes the electronics.

The Netgear Nighthawk AX6 (RAX54S) has been one of the easiest routers I’ve owned, it set up in just a few minutes with the app, and the Wi-Fi 6 speeds are fast enough to handle streaming, gaming, and lots of devices all at once without slowing down. Coverage is strong throughout my home, and I really like having the built-in security and parental controls included. The day after I set it up it alerted me that it blocked a DoS attack. It feels like a great balance of speed, features, and reliability without being overly complicated.

I live in an area that has such poor cell service I was instructed to get wifi, in a small house I frequently dropped calls and had issues…until I got this bad boy! I’m so thankful I took the jump and got this! No dropped calls, no sluggish loading just a great product. I even used support to help me set it up and they were so kind and helpful!

This router actually works better than my original spectrum router. I got it at a good price and it saves me $10 a month on my Internet bill. Also, it was easier than I thought it would be to set it up and there was some support from The company in case I had an issue setting it up. As a 65-year-old female I found it pretty easy to set up.

Needed to replace a very old NetGear. Knowing I wanted to stay with the same brand, I choose this unit for a very reasonable price. The set up was very easy. You do need to download the app for instructions and connectivity and I feel that is for security reasons. Works great! Now I know I should have replaced the old unit sooner because the X-Box stays connected. :)

After continued internet issues, our provider gave us a new model but told us our old WIFI router had to go to. Picked this one due to range and ratings. Works well. Purchased a second for my parents house. Their install was tougher due to older equipment and a poor cell signal needed to use the install app. After a frustrating phone call to their internet provider who wasn't helpful, the Asus technician spent over an hour on the phone with us, walking us through every step and the problem was resolved. Very patient for my senior citizen parents. Thanks, Asus for your kind tech support team.

Buyer Beware! NetGear is superb equipment to say the least. Many Net Gear products sit new on shelves waiting for sale. The products software becomes outdated, has to be rebooted. I'm here to tell you it was a two and a half hour call to Net Gear to correct the problem. This is all to save renting the equipment from my cable provider. One hour fifteen minutes to talk to a Net Gear Teck.

Very easy to hook up, honestly had a little trouble with the app on my phone. I called customer service and they patiently walked me through updating the router software so it would work with all my devices through the computer. Excellent help, the unit works great, highly recommend.
