Good product
Good little grinder but it has a bad design on the switch. Very hard to keep the switch on and keep the grinder running. I do think it's a flaw in design. I returned the first one because of the switch but the 2nd one has the same problem. Thinking it might be operator error, we kept it and used it. Since we don't use it often, the warranty ran out and we could not return the tool. I need to call the company to get some feedback. The size is great for my small hands. Also the batteries don't hold a long charge. I use for Horse Hoof Trimming. I have 2 genuine batteries so I can switch them out while I work, if they get slow. The tool works but the switch is a pain to use. If I could, I would return this. Price is too high for the hassle with the switch

Bosch, Quality Tools
Why did you pick this product vs others?:It’s what I wanted, I have multiple Bosch handheld electrical tools and operation functioned great.

Bosch are quality tools
I didn't expect this grinder to be so small and portable, it looks a lot thicker in the picture on the site, but I am very happy with the product, it came with two grinder wheels: one a little thick that says "Metal Grinding Wheel" the other is really thin and says "Metal Cutting Wheel", that's the one I bought it for but I didn't realize I didn't order a battery or charger so now I'm waiting for them to come in so I can cut some metal or aluminum roofing panels I got for now.

Surprise, surprise . . .
. . . this tool is indeed made in Germany. That being said, here are a couple of observations:Pros:- Not totally a bare tool; comes with one grinding wheel and one abrasive cutting disc, and an Allen wrench- Has a nice tool-less wheel guard which you can turn along firm detents- Has a thumb grip lever to lock the spindle in place, not a button you press- Not as noisy as a 4.5" and up angle grinder- Certainly cute and compact, but when using a cutting wheel, can't make particularly wide or deep cuts- Yes, no 'Made in China' text on the label in fine print! Just 'Made in Germany'Cons:- Ergonomic but doesn't blow you away with a beefy, hefty construction - which you can find in a lot of brushless stuff coming out of China now at a steep discount in price- The mechanism/design to lock the ON switch in place doesn't have a confident 'click' when locked in place. You have to sorta push on the lever and slide your thumb up and over to lock it in place, but no positive click to the process. I feel that in time, due to wear on the plastic switch and vibration, the locking tab will slip and you will no longer be able to lock the ON switch in place. If the tool is out of warrantee, you have to buy a new switch and possibly outer housing!- Expensive. You can get a pretty exact clone of this tool made in China, which has the same features mentioned in the 'Pros' above, for a third of the price in Thailand

Great for Small Projects
As the conflicting evaluations start, the machines are only excellent if you indeed use them for small projects. The benefit of this machine is its small size; the disadvantage is that its small size makes it a poor choice for large projects where a full fine angle grinder is needed -- at least IMHO. For small projects it was terrific. I cut 24-high quality metal screws in a row quickly and easily on one charge without problem.

Doesn’t work consistently, hard to engage
I finally purchased this grinder after reading positive reviews. Never actually used it because it stopped working after 3 minutes. Turned off and on and sometimes it would come on and sometimes not. Battery indicator shows not power even after charging new battery. I was able to return it to Amazon.Due to the positive reviews I ordered another one immediately believing my experience was an isolated case. The second grinder did the same only much worse than the first. Believing the problem is with the switch or the battery connection I had my husband put the battery on and take it off. No difference, it still does not work consistently.Planned to use this for trimming horse’s hooves. Was getting horse use to sound which is why it wasn’t actually used, but just turned on.The battery is very difficult to get off and if you don’t have strong hands you likely won’t be able to get it off the grinder. After reading negative reviews, I see other people have had the same issue with this grinder.Very disappointed.
