Works as expected. Way better than relying on electronic sensor
Works great for manually verifying the oil level in a Mercedes vehicle that did not come with a dipstick from the factory. I suggest confirming the measurement values in WIS rather than relying on the sheet that came with it, as one tech told me some of those numbers are incorrect, although for my vehicle they did have the correct spec listed.Do note: this dipstick is NOT meant to be left in place, it's soley meant to be a shop tool for measuring oil level and then it needs to be removed and the dipstick tube cap replaced. It's made extra long on purpose to work with multiple Mercedes vehicles.

C230 Will not fit :(
Junk, do not buy for C230. States in fits, but does not. It has plastic pieces that prevent it from fitting down the oil tube. SAD product... DO NOT BUY

Perfect
Good quality and works perfectly. Came with a schematic of every Mercedes and what the reading should be so that was great.

Great Answer To Over Engineering
I have two Mercedes built in the era of no dipstick. The oil level is checked via German engineering :( Press buttons on the steering wheel, with the engine off long enough after running to let the oil settle (15-20 minutes) otherwise the display tells me to wait. Finally, it states that the oil level is OK or I have to add a quart... Really? Anything in between? A dipstick would be so much easier and more accurate. That's what this if for. Mercedes still has the tube where the dipstick goes but with a cap on it. This dipstick is marked and comes with a lookup for the range of acceptable oil level for the different models and engines. Inexpensive great addition to my garage.

Inexpensive and very accurate fix for the "Oil Level Sensor Failure" issue.
Quality piece with good documentation for each different Mercedes model that this works for. Look closely at the documentation to ensure you have the correct model! I almost overfilled because I was looking at the spec for the wagon instead of the sedan... Definitely not something you can leave in the car, but gives me great peace of mind knowing that I can now ignore the level sensor warning (estimated repair for the sensor is close to $500) and just drive.
