Works very well, made my machine run like new again. I had to change the bracket to my original bracket as the one that came with the motor was not fully stamped and motor mounted at a slight angle. With my original bracket it works great. Came with an extra belt too

For my sewing machine, but lacked the power of the stock motor that was failing!

Used as replacement for motor on vintage sewing machine. Required minor modification but worked well.

Most sewing machines are powered by a standard motor like the one advertised here but some sewing machines require a motor that runs in reverse. Machines that require a reverse motor are rather uncommon.One question asked the seller if this was a reverse motor and the seller answered that this motor did NOT run in reverse. The seller clearly said these motors were the standard forward direction motor. Normally, I would have returned the motor but my circumstances did not allow that. Maybe the seller would have corrected this error but I could not return it. Still, it caused me aggravation, time, and effort to "make" this motor work for my standard machine.Seller, PLEASE be accurate with your answers to technical questions. It matters.

Works well, very quiet and smooth.

If putting on a singer with a bent wood case the top will not fit over the motor because the bracket sticks out too far. I used a different bracket and it fit fine. Also the bracket hole slots has to be lengthened to mount the motor on it. If you buy this motor the old bracket may need to be used.
