Definitely better than my phones speakers and gets way louder...Does it have bass no but for a speaker this size and price range I really wasn't expecting it to rattle the walls but the sound is great for what I need it for. I use it in an above normal noise environment and it still sounds good ....i did notice a little distort when raised to max volume fyi ....the size is crazy small but that's why I bought it..... I'll have to update this when I get a better feel for battery life but so far so good ....i saw concerns saying they couldn't thread the lanyard through the tiny hole....just feed it through top and pull it through with a safety pin ...

The sound is surprisingly not-that bad for such a tiny speaker, but:There’s no indication of the charge level, so no way to tell when it’s going to stop working until it does.There is no visual indication of whether or not it’s turned on. It makes an “on” noise and an “off” noise. You would expect “on” to be upbeat and it is. You would expect “off” to be a sad downbeat noise but it isn’t. Both are upbeat, and then you forget where you left it, especially when the “connected” noise isn’t working right.Its bluetooth is flaky. You think it’s turned off and an hour later the song you were playing comes back on again.

I love this because it’s now screaming “Power On!” Or “Device connected” or “Power off”. Which is never like this with Bluetooth headphones…and I’m not fond of wearing them, due to being bugged at work for help and questions.I wasn’t looking for a very LOUD speaker- but one that I can just listen to with LOUD VENT over my head and everyone in the office on phones. I’m a clerk- so having this where I can make it just loud enough to enjoy and hear and not for the bosses who are immature looking to get me into trouble. This helps my work day go by better. And much better that other portable speakers.Yes everyone has their preference and expectations when buying something. But if you’re in a similar work situation and don’t want the speaker to sound loud as it turns on and connects. It is still loud; but not where I’m freaking out a superior will question me. And has a decent range. I did a two min walk from my desk to a printer and then a co-worker close to the printer and surprise to see it was still playing.So I say this device is perfect for something small for music and be low key compared to other Bluetooth speakers.

I was so curious about the sound that would be put out of these mini speakers, so I bought a couple of them to try out. Interestingly enough, they were pretty dang good for being so tiny. I used them with my phone as the test. Some ideas for gift giving of these speakers would be as follows:1. Perfect sound for a bedroom or dorm room to play music without disturbing the whole house.2. Perfect fir taking out of doors listening to music around the campfire, doing Karaoke, or at the beach.3. Perfect to hook up to be able to hear my phone ringing, or using as the speaker phone.
