Very easy to apply to a post.

These are fine. Who knows if they work or are water traps. The only problem is that the top (or bottom) edge of the wrap can actually lift away from the post by a couple of mm , which essentially creates a water trap.

Can't really review if these work yet, but after multiple storms this year the most recent blew down 11m of fence, all of which had snapped clean at ground level, meaning rot - have nothing to lose trying these!Instructions said 2kw heat gun was needed, thankfully my 1.75kw did the job!Followed instructions, easy to apply and heat on.Instructions said to use a roller...I didn't have one so used a rolling pin, worked just the same....except I now need to buy a new rolling pin lolGreat product, and good to see they're UK made

Tarry Tarry …
… might work? Seems promising - basically a roll of tar with a plastic backing. Tar melts easily with a heat gun. It can leak from the edges a bit but hardly a problem. If it’s put on carefully I think it has a good chance of preventing the surface rot that kills wooden posts. So will I out live my posts - the race is on 🤣
