The United Network Command for Law and Enforcement has a new agent in its struggle with THRUSH: The Girl from U.N.C.L.E. The girl is April Dancer (Stefanie Powers) who, assisted by partner Mark Slate (Noel Harrison) and guided by chief Alexander Waverly (Leo G. Carroll), travels the globe on assignments, using her martial-arts and espionage prowess to combat foes. This spoofy 15-Episode Part One of the spy series in a 4-disc set includes a dossier of top-level guest stars. April Dancer (with Mary Ann Mobley playing the role) was first introduced to fans in the Moonglow Affair episode of The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

Girl from U.N.C.L.E. . Nice Spy series frommy past.
really glad that I got this Part One of the Girl from U.N.C.L.E.. mostly video is good and sound on my TV needs to be set on 32 , normally 22 or 24 are acceptable . some of the early episodes are better then the later ones, but they are good.I have the second part #2 but have not watched it yet. cannot find the 3rd and 4th parts. This is in "FULL" screen, maybe zoomed a bit (not for positive on that).a bit high priced, still close to reasonable. I would recommend this set

I Liked It
Yes, this was a Man From UNCLE spin-off and perhaps not the same level of "cool" but I liked it. Stephanie Powers is great and the adventures are interesting to an old baby-boomer like me.

It pretty good quality for not being HD, has alot entertainment value for fans of Stefanie Powers!
If you watch TV in the 1960s and had a crush on April Dancer; this DVD is for you! I remember bits of the episodes shown here on this DVD. It pretty good quality for not being HD. April Dancer aka Stefanie Powers is very attractive at 23 years old in the show's episodes and her role is basically a sex symbol type agent since she does almost no hand to hand combat in any of the episodes. She just uses her attractiveness to subdue the male opposition as well as UNCLE device like spray can of knock out gas, small bombs and such devices. She does not shoot people either. Only shooting done by her is for cover fire so Mark Slate can do the dirty work. Plots are laughable, not seriously presented but entertaining. I may buy the second part too but it is very pricey for what you get! Seeing Stefanie Powers sexual powers in her prime with the best body and a very attractive face at 23-24 years of age is probably worth the heavy price tag. It only lasted one season however. It too bad that the showrunners did not portray April Dancer like that of Emilly Peel and Honors Blackman of The Avengers! I think the show would have done much better in the TV ratings and would have latest more then a year!

A Girl James Bond??!!
A little history--In the 1960s spy stuff was 'big'. In addition, to 007 - Dean Martin played Matt Helm while James Colburn played D. Flint (good movies check them out). This was the 'setting' for a TV 'girl spy' version of 007 to be made. The main item all these movies had, was a somewhat unrealistic plot. Stefanie Powers plays the part (April Dancer) the female Bond. While Bond did some 'no-nos' Dancer was a 'good girl'. For its time and today, it is a very good movie and well worth checking out. Like all TV shows from the 1960s, it is rather tame and unrated.
