I am pretty impressed with this. I am installing a electric winch on my flatbed trailer and wanted to do a good job with the wires but did not want to spend a lot of money on an expensive crimping tool that I would only use once or twice. This one is priced really low but the quality of the tool and the end result make it an awesome investment. The overall crimping power is really noteworthy. I am super happy with how my job turned out and HIGHLY recommend this tool. It also just took a couple of minutes to get everything set up to do the job.Bottom line: A really high quality tool, made right to do a great job, priced right and delivered to my door the next day. I have about a dozen connections to crimp for my campers battery system. Im using 8 gauge stranded wire. I really can't justify spending the money for a regular crimper for how few I'm likely to do in my lifetime. This thing did a great job! It's heavy and appears to be built well. I'd say it takes 30 seconds for stripping the wire, twisting all the strands into a nice tight bundle, inserting the wire into the ring terminal and poinding the crimp. I couldn't be more pleased with it's function and the price was very reasonable.

wow this is awesome for wire jobs. I needed to fix a wire on my battery and this tool made the job very simple. This is a tool that will last forever and will do the job right every time. Hands down a quality product and very useful

Got to try this out finally, and it worked pretty good. The crimp was tight, and should give a good connection to my Anderson plug. It did flatten out the terminal some, I was worried it would not fit into the plastic portion of the plug, but it did without any issues. I got these for my larger crimping needs, but I think I will get a set of the crimpers that place a hexagon crimp as well, for tighter fittings.

Used this while making a bunch of 4ga power and starter cables. You can't beat the price of these for how easy they are to use and the crimps it made to the lugs were fantastic. can do several sizes with ease. I blasted out about 8 solid crimps in about 2 minutes. 2 blows witha BFH and they were ready. Well worth the few bucks they are and take up no space.

I've always struggled getting a connector on a battery cable. This crimper works like a charm, though!Use; I put it on a solid base, I keep a 10 pound short handled hammer for a backing weight, the use a 4 pound hammer to strike it. One hit, solid crimp every time! The plunger is spring loaded, so you get the terminal in place and it's held there by the spring. Hold the cable right where you want it and Blam! Crimped!It's heavy, but very compact. I keep mine in my electrical toolbox, which isn't nearly as big as I'd like, but it's small so I'm ok with it. This way it's always there when I need it.

This little tool was such a life saver. I needed it to attach the lugs to the ends of my battery cables in order to finish replacing the ends of the cables. It worked really well. I removed the battery, and set a brick in its place to have a solid surface. I clamped the brick onto the battery base to keep it still. A solid, stable surface was essential. The crimps were perfect and secure. I ended up using a hammer. The mallet did not provide enough force. Great tool for a great price.
