Great for my 10 year old
We bought this for our small ten year old. . . she's about 65 pounds and one of the smaller ones in her class (that means I don't know her height. :) ). Anyways, she loves it and I think I do, too.It did arrive as expected but did arrive with some scuff marks on the plastic. I'm not sure this will buff out or not; we didn't try. The "light" in the front is decorative only and doesn't work, as I expected. We didn't care about the scuff marks and I doubt my daughter even noticed them at all. There's a hand brake but, to get the bike to work, you ACTIVELY have to twist the left handlebar. . . if you let it go, the bike's motor will stop. .. so, in fact, it's very easy to stop and go.Also there's a center kick stand that was easy to teach my daughter how to use. There's storage area under the seat which is a plus.It arrived charged and with the wheels inflated so, after 20 minutes of assembly (which really means putting the front wheel and handlebars on), she was off and riding for almost an hour. It was still going strong but we plugged it in at that point to charge. Here's why I really recommend it, though. We had a razor "motorbike" style scooter for my son when he was about the same age. Razor MX350 Dirt Rocket Electric Motocross Bike He's outgrown it and it's sitting in our garage still. Well, our daughter really wanted to ride it but I would have had to replace YET ANOTHER battery for it to get it going again. That scooter had no overcharge protection and had a more complicated charging process. We had to replace the battery a few times during the year or two when my son was riding it. . . and batteries cost about fifty dollars, but I think I may have found a site where I only paid thirty-five. Still, inevitably we'd let the bike charge and forget about it and the battery would QUICKLY die. . . I don't mean after a few charges more, I mean the MOMENT we overcharged it, it just wouldn't work anymore. EVER.Anyways, although I'll update if this turns out differently, this newer model has overcharge protection AND a charger with a light that turns from red to green when fully charged. So, this purchase was worth it to me for this reason. Supposedly, the battery lasts for about 250 charges, too.It seems to go about 15 mph as stated and our neighborhood is really very hilly. . . she zipped right up the big hill immediately with no lag. She's only 65 pounds and I'm not sure if it would take me up the hill, but I was able to ride it fairly comfortably around the big circle we live on and it was comfortable enough (though really small). It states it's for riders ages 12 and up-- I think most 12 year olds would be too big for this since most of them are nearly adult size. This comfortably fits a pre-teen child.

Fun electric moped
Daughter loves her moped! These ride smooth and seem very durable. Only thing you have to assemble is inserting the steering wheel- clear directions are provided. Gave this a good first charge as directions state and the battery seems to last great. (We do keep this indoors so the battery doesn't drain in the cold)

Granddaughter loves it!
We bought this a couple months before Christmas. I have read reviews that if there is a problem with the scooter, the company was slow to respond. I wanted to make sure there was no disappointment Christmas morning. The order was placed via Amazon Prime and arrived within a couple days. The free shipping saved us a bunch of money. Walmart sells a different model by the same manufacturer but the granddaughter had picked out this particular one. In the end, it was actually cheaper AND I didn't have to deal with Walmart! Actual assembly time was maybe 30 minutes but I spent about 2 hours trying to get to the compartment under the seat! Apparently the plastic bag with the instructions had become jammed in the the compartment somehow, making it impossible to lift the seat up. It took 2 hours of searching the internet for help, Facebook friends, and even a crowbar before I finally looked inside the rear wheel well and located the spring keeping the seat down! I stuck a flat head screw driver between the two little prongs and it popped right up. I'm writing this to let you how dumb I am and how tought this scooter is. Seriously, I took a crow bar to the seat and did no damage to the scooter! Plus the crowbar didn't work. This thing is sturdy!!! I had no problems assembling the scooter. The tires did need to be aired back up but only a little. Since Christmas I have had to add air to the rear tire which is not easy. The distance between the air valve and the hub is short and the sprocket is in the way, but it is doable. The battery has lasted 1 to 1.5 hours of riding between recharges. We are in the country with no pavement or concrete anywhere close. It is driven on gravel roads and open fields. I'm sure it would last longer on flat hard surefaces. My granddaughter is 9 years old and long legged. She fits on it just fine. It is plenty fast enough to please her and scare me. This is a great little vehicle. It is not a toy, this is transporatation. So far we have absoultely no complaints. I'm very happy we purchased this.2/25/14: this little thing has held up really well! I am truly surprised at how little work we have had to do on it. My granddaughter is now 10 and still rides it frequently. It's been too cold and wet for daily use. I guess like any kid she has tried her best to destroy it but it has held up to big holes, deep water puddles, sticks in the chain, and all types of abuse. We are very happy. With a little more care it may become a hand me down for the 4 year old some day.

Buy it on sale! Don’t hesitate!
The media could not be loaded. This was the best Christmas gift! I got 2 when they were on sale ($180) and I’m so so glad I did! My girls are 5 and 6 and this was just perfect for them! They wanted 50cc dirt bikes but this was more budget friendly and I took the chance! They ride every moment they can, it drives smooth, good battery life, comes with little label stickers, charging cords, just need to order the helmet and you’re set! They get such a rush and I love it! I hope it lasts a good long time, so glad I went with Razor brand!
