Great addition for convenience and piece of mind.
Perfect solution to what I was looking for. I was originally looking for a way to open my garage door with my iPhone. I bike quite a bit and always carry my phone with me and wanted a convenient way of getting into the garage after a long ride without having to climb the outside stairs to the front door then hike back down to the garage to open it to take my bike back in. Since I had liftmaster garage openers that weren't MyQ enabled, I had to order new wall controls as well. (ordered through amazon LiftMaster 888LM Security+ 2.0 MyQ Wall Control). Installation of this and the new wall controls was easy. I swapped out my existing wall controls with the new ones, then I plugged this unit right into my router, downloaded the app to my iPhone, followed the instructions on first creating an account then adding the different device and my two garage doors. Now I can open my garage doors from my phone. I have the app notify me when my garage doors are opened/closed. I love the fact that I can see how long they've been open/closed - gives you a little piece of mind when you leave the house and wonder if you've actually closed the garage or not - just open the app and it tells you.I've also used the app to open the garage door when I had family visiting for the holiday and I was out but they needed to get into the house - just went to the app and opened the garage door - was easy and seamless. You can also add the Nest thermostats to the app - it doesn't give you all of the temperature controls but you can see the current temp and toggle between home and away mode.

I never accidentally open up the garage door like I would with a remote
I bought this device instead of another garage door opener as it was very close in price. I've been using it every week day for the last 6 mos.Pros:1) It does work, and is cheaper than buying 2 remotes as long as you have 2 smartphones already.2) With the app, I never accidentally open up the garage door like I would with a remote.3) The app sends email alerts when the garage door is left open (or closed) for longer than 2 minutes. You can decide if you want the alerts. I do find them useful when my wife accidentally leaves the garage door open or when I get to work and can't remember if I closed the garage door.4) It was easy to setup. I plugged the device into the router, created a login, and used the learn button to register my garage door opener.Cons:1) It's not as fast as a remote because you have to pull the device out and click on the screen. It's a bit of a bummer when it's 0F outside.2) Update 11/16/2015: The app is improving. I haven't had issues with the autologin or having to close reopen. (Previous comment: The app is a bit buggy so I'm removing a star for that. Namely, I have to close the app and reopen for the autologin to work. Sometimes the app even forgets my remembered login info. I'll add the star back if I find it is working again.)3) It does negate the advantage of having a battery backup as my internet connection will be lost when I lose power.

Works, most of the time.
Once again, Chamberlain screwed up an update to the iPhone app. Today when I tried to open the garage door, the app presented me with a screen where I have to provide more personal information. (I've been using this app and garage door opener with mixed results for about three years.) After entering the required information, the app just froze. I deleted the app and reinstalled it and it continues to freeze. The only way that I can open the garage door with a remote or from inside the garage. If you read the Chamberlain License Agreement, which is longer than most Supreme Court Decisions, it sounds like they are setting the groundwork to charge us to us the app and I suspect that if I took the time to read the entire agreement, you are giving up some privacy rights too.Any time that we use app like this, we are taking a severe risk of being hacked - of someone opening our garage doors or accessing other devices controlled through an app like MyQ. I admit that I'm not very comfortable with the digital security provided by a company that can't even manage to keep a simple iPhone app functioning. In trying to expand a garage door opener into so many other services and devices, I'm not at all certain that Chamberlain is up to the task of ensuring your privacy or your security. I suspect that you are agreeing to hold them harmless if someone hacks the Chamber system is hacked and you suffer as a result. Is the convenience worth the risk? Probably not.
