If this helps. If you want to use an EF mount lens with your Canon EOS 4000D, you can use a Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R. This adapter allows EF and EF-S mount lenses to be used on Canon EOS R cameras, maintaining the same levels of performance and functionality seen on EOS DSLR. So in short you will need an adapter to use this lens. I hope this helps.

Q: Is this compatible with the Black magic 6K pro

Yes it will, as the Blackmagic 6K pro has an EF mount this lens should work perfectly on it as its made for a full frame sensor. I do personally own one and i can assure you that it's a fantastic glass. For video I would only use it if you're intending to shoot on a tripod/monopod as it's not capable of stabilisation but the image is nice and crisp, colours are great and the autofocus works very well for photo & video! Comparing it to my L serie lenses this is the cheapest lens in my bag and my favourite one so far!

A great lens for the price.Takes very good clean images.Having read some of the other reviews, regarding the auto focus noise.... Yes there is a bit of a noise... And if you are videoing, it could be an issue. Though for doing portrait photography, I can put up with with it.... I have given it a 4 star mainly because if you want to use it for photographing animals, it could scare them, or alert them of your presence.For me though, a great little lens for the price.

Had to send it back

Had some great images from this but unfortunately it went wrong so it was returned. Very noisy autofocus but it suddenly stopped working. The mf/af switch failed so it was manual focus only. I didn't ask for a replacement as I was worried about it's longevity
