This is truly an amazing product . And i wont be surprised at all if this starts replacing chamberlain/craftsman as the product of choice. I recently bought a home in AZ that came with a three car garage, of which one had to be manually lifted. I researched a ton of different products and eventually settled on this. First off, it comes with everything you need except for the ceiling bracket to install the motor to. I bought that separately, and I bought a door and attachment bracket that I didnt need because the product included it. I started installing it yesterday afternoon and after 4 hours, got about half way thru. I started again this morning and 5 hours later, had it complete. I could probably do it in half the time now that I know what Im doing. Throw away the paper instructions and google the install video for the skylink belt drive diy. Follow the video and it becomes really easy for an average diy-er such as myself. this product and the hardware set me back 250 bucks. The cheapest garage door company that offered to install a motor came in at 1500 not counting the cost of the motor. I truly love this product, and my wife has already spent the money I saved toward a new refrigerator :-).Update 48 hours later:The door worked fine the first day, and then the second day it started behaving weirdly. The door would open fine, but 30 seconds after it closed the light would start flashing and it would show error code C on the unit. And it would be impossible to stop it from doing that unless you unplugged it and plugged it back again. I went thru everything, from reprogramming the unit to rewiring the motor. All to no avail. As a last resort, I reversed the polarity (even though it was polarity agnostic) on the motor as well as the wall unit. And voila, it started working again. And, touch wood, no issues the past 2 days.

Ok.. so first off i read alot of reviews on this opener and compared it to some of the more popular name brands. My previous screw dribe genie was super loud but did the job for 19 years. Lightening struck in the neighbors back yard and zapped the old genie. So.... i began researching and ran across these.. and im glad i did. Installed it last night by myself.First... it came nicely packaged.. nice and neat. All parts enclosed.Keep in mind i was replacing an old one.. so i had to add another anchoring point for the head of the opener (which was determined after i put together the atoms opener and made a few measurements).Assembly was super easy and it was no problem to hang after I measured where it needed ilto be hung from the ceiling of the garage.I have not installed an opener in 19 years but it was very self explanatory after the limited directions got me started. When i say “limited” i mean limited.... they covered most of the install but some things left me thinking i had missed a step... but i had not.. they just didnt cover it. You tube will cover anything that is lacking in the paper instructions.With that said.. the install was not that hard even though i was doing it by myself ( two people for the job would be awesome).After it was installed and programmed it is awesome!! Lifts my sectional metal door for a two car garage with ease and does it super quiet. The light button on the wall mounted control was unresponsive initially but after an hour it started working with no issues.If it keeps working like it initially does i will be well pleased.I dont Normally write reviews but i wanna brag on this unit. Even if you dont wanna do it yourself it is worth buying and paying someone to install it.Will update if anything changes.The video was to show that you cannot hear the unit... just the squeaky door than i need to oil.Since it has been i stalled for less than 48 hrs.. i have not had to contact customer service...

Originally I gave a very negative review. However, now I am able to upgrade my review. The instructions could have been much better and would have made for a better installation with less hair pulling. And all the parts mentioned in the instructions are not for this particular model. But that is unknown to the installer who is looking for the part mentioned in instructions. The largest problem in the installation is in the door sensors. They are a joke and will absolutely not work per instructions. The instructions say to attach the sensor brackets to the door track, they are more than an inch short of doing this operation. I was replacing another door opener and the old door sensors were still attached per the opener I was replacing. It was necessary for me to disassemble the door sensor brackets for the Atoms opener and disassemble the original brackets and I was able to attach the new sensors to my old sensor brackets. By this time I had a very negative opinion of the Atoms Opener. One thing I discovered about setting up the Atoms is that in the beginning it does not appear to work properly. However, the circuitry in the Atoms opener needs time to learn the settings. With all that being said and time having gone on at this time the Atoms opener is operating very well. Thank you.
