Great piece of kit.

Every household should have one of these. A sturdy bit of kit that blasts through any task.

I'd seen one used on my car project for a few bits here and there by a vehicle restorer I used. However, I needed a couple more done on my project (VW Beetle). I could have borrowed the rivnut tool from the car restorer but decided to buy my own.The tool has a good weighty feel to it, and components seem strong and durable. Instructions were quite easy to follow. The rivnuts with the kit are aluminium, I have no idea on the quality or strength of their threads once installed. I'm using them to secure a wing (fender) and running board. I would be cautious of load bearing weights for these. There is no guide for what hole sizes the rivnuts fit but an Internet Search will find that info for you - or see my last picture as I made my own notes a guide.For a hobbyist, the actual tool is good value and maybe good enough for sustained professional use.

I purchased this rivnut tool to replace one I managed to break due to poor build quality. Thus one works very well and I haven't managed to break it. Just be careful I have managed to pull rivets out, pull them through and pull the threads out.

This is the exact kit that B&Q sell. After realising it was also listed on amazon with next day delivery, I thought it was better than having a 7 day wait when buying through the B&Q website. The kit is brilliant, comes with everything needed for M3 up to M12, including the carry case and some rivnuts to get you started. The case also contains a leaflet which has illustrated instructions on how to set it up and use it with the different mandrel sizes.
