MORE THAN PLESANTLY SURPRISED!
I bought these LED lanterns expecting them to be cheap (6 bucks apiece). Nothing could be further from the truth! They are ruggedly built. I love the ability to switch from "flashlight" to "lantern" (or both). The rechargeable battery is fully charged when the solid red light turns to green while charging. I ran a fully charged lantern as a test. I finally turned it off after 4 hours, and the light was as bright as when I began my experiment.Would highly, HIGHLY recommend.

Would be very handy during a power outage
like in a hurricane! We has an older (more costly) similar product that needed replaced; it was a cobb led only and fewer lumens. This product is very bright (cobb led), has a flashlight feature, and two emergency red flasher modes. The only negative is NO INSTRUCTIONS. Of course, that is not needed to install 3 AA batteries that seems to allow all functions to work. The confusion is... there is a USB cable connector for charging. When connected to a power source, a red LED near the flashlight switch comes on, and after about 3 hours it turns green. The flashlight function seems brighter once this charging is done. The confusion is... just what does the chargeable battery supply or supplement? For sure, the USB cable is not charging the alkaline batteries in the base. Are the cobb Led and the flashlight using TWO separate power sources, or a combination supply?

Great for camping and for emergency situations
Bought these to go camping and it was great using them. Also great to have on hand during an emergency situation when my power went out. Would recommend these for your camping kit or emergency kits.

Excellent design and quality lighting.
I use these fairly often when we have lighting issues (Florida), but also when needing an extra focus beam. These are well made and have served there purpose. Happy with the purchase.

The nicest pop up lanterns
These are my favorite pop up lanterns. So versatile and compact enough to take anywhere. Living in the country one never knows when the electrical grid will fail do to storms or black outs. Having a half dozen lights throughout the house solves night time lighting problems. I never leave home without at least one or two of these lights in my car. I don't know how long they will burn in the night if left on however if you want security having extra batteries is always a smart move.
