Just what I needed
Injured my right groin just over a week ago. Lots of bruising and swelling, as is usual with this type of injury.I looked at this product, and the other one shown on Amazon (Blue in color). However, the Blue one has almost a 30 day delivery schedule. So, the Cramer E6 it was. The material is Neoprene (think wetsuit fabric), so it is a bit stretchy. To put it on:* Hold the non velcro end, and let if fall between the legs* Place the tapered end just about mid-thigh and wrap under and over....the back under and over again.* As you pull the remaining end over, pull it tight. As the wrap is broad, i didn't a way to pull it too tight.* Wrap around the hip...higher or lower, then back around. The velcro should attach to the section wrapped around the thigh, not the section you just wrapped around your hips (this is important)The end result is that the wrap give you good support and stability. When walking, it aids in bringing the lef forward...almost like a spring. It is very comfortable, and can be worn all-day under clothing, or at the gym.Note:If you are looking at this product, then obviously you have a groin injury, or know someone that does. Along with this, buy the Under Armour compression shorts for leg support, they work really well. If not, wear any other type of compression shorts.Cons:Where the product wraps below the abs, is right across where you "hang" (men only), so you'll need to adjust left or right accordingly. After the injury heals a bit, and you are back to being more active, this is not a support that should be worn during any sports, as it will tend to slip and loosen in the thigh.

Good pain relief when it stays in place
Helps with the pain but falls off/out of place when doing activity (slowpitch softball so not exactly high intensity). Maybe could be good for casual walking but after a couple times using it, it kept falling off. If needed for more activity, try one that isn’t just a single strap. It definitely helped alleviate the pain/strain on my groin and hip flexor when it stayed in place though!

Great alternative to ACE bandages
One of the trusted ways an athletic trainer treats a groin strain is with spica compression. You basically take about 10 yards of ACE bandage and do a figure-8 wrap around the upper thigh and waist. It's not a particularly quick process. I found the Cramer brace to be a suitable and more convenient alternative to using 10 yards of elastic bandage. The brace is made of thick Neoprene, so it is rather bulky. The good news is that it is very supportive. The bad news is that it may be difficult to wear under your clothes. I wore mine over my pants, and it worked very well. The brace does sometimes become undone, but a small amount of athletic tape can solve that issue. Since my groin strain happened during the winter, I did not have the issue of excessive sweating under the brace. I am assuming since excessive sweating is not unusual under any Neoprene brace, it would probably had been an issue had my injury occurred during the summer.I do have to agree with other reviews that it would have been nice to have pictures with the instructions. However, if you Google "groin spica", you can find some very informative videos on how to properly do a spica wrap. You do the same thing with the Cramer brace expect you are dealing with half the length of bandage.

Lifesaver
I'm sorry, but the reviews about how this would come loose when running made me snicker just a bit. I would have loved to have been able to just WALK without extreme pain when I first found this item. I had severe arthritis in my left hip and spent two months nearly debilitated by it. Thinking there had to be SOMETHING to stabilize my hip and ease the pain, I searched Amazon and found this item. I will tell you without reservation that this bought me two functional months before I had to have a total hip replacement. In truth, I was feeling so much better before my scheduled surgery that I was balking at the notion of being cut open. The surgery is behind me now and I'm in the recovery stage, but I still credit this hip spica with giving me some quality of life pre-surgery. I'm not sure I agree that just anyone can wear this - I'm 5'9" and 155 pounds, and had to give this a good stretch to get it around my poor hip. I have recommended this to my surgeon, the nursing staff at the hospital and my PT. And now I'm recommending it to you.

Cramer E6 Groin Hip Spica
I have never written a review before. I felt that I must review this product. I have had severe hip and low back pain for over a year. It was to the point that I couldn't even make a trip to the grocery store without almost being in tears. I have been to doctors and physical therapists. The braces that the doctor recommended caused more pain that relief. I saw this product on Amazon and it seemed like it would cover the areas that were causing me the most pain. I starting using the Cramer E6 Groin Hip Spica everyday, including going to work. It is light enough to fit under my clothes. I have been using this for about six months now and I am feeling so much better. I have actually been able to start using the treadmill again. To me this was very much worth the price. I would definitely recommend!

Doesn't fit listed size, instructions nonsense.
My upper thigh is 24 inches, and my waist is 40 inches (I have severe scoliosis)Given these measurements, I should definitely be able to fit under either criteria of having a waist at 40 inches with a thigh under 32 inches, or a waist 40-46 inches and a thigh 28 inches.Maybe if it were actually 73 inches as advertised it would be able to stretch the distance, but it's 71 inches. The instructions make absolutely no sense with the length and lack of stretchiness in the material. It definitely does not fit the size advertised or provide compression even when I skipped the thigh wrap just to wrap my lower back. Before I had even velcroed it, the material had threads starting to come up, so I believe in the durability complaints from others. This is being returned super hard.
