Does this crack easily?

i have had one for 2 years and it has a crack on each side towards the midle of trough

Does this come with the drain already installed?

It comes with a bushing attached (1"male thread X 3/4" female thread) which has a 3/4" plug. You can remove the plug and install a nipple with a valve (PVC).

Can this be used below ground as a water fountain? Water flowing into it but it is planted.
