Not bad at all.
This will eventually end up in my truck, but testing with an idea of a little shenanigans.I have some very loud neighbors. Woman rages at her husband at hour-long stretches, late at night-- several times a week-- and usually end up outside my 2nd floor bedroom window where the husband often retreats to the street below, to get away. Now, with my CB set for PA, I can join in the fun! Police voice, "Okay, break it up! Move along! Nothing to see here!"Maybe play appropriately ironic music to them: "Put Another Log On the Fire," "Bad Moon Rising," "He Stopped Loving Her Today." I'll start a list to amuse me.The test:Using my President McKinley, which has a PA port on the back, I hooked it up, opened my window, set the speaker on the ledge, and keyed the mic. That was stupid. Instantly created a feedback-loop so loud that every dog in the neighborhood stopped barking, my lamp dimmed, and my eyes watered.Found the output volume control on my radio, and pulled it back to about 1/3. Stopped the feedback, but still a very noisy sound. Should be fine if I mount outside, or when under the hood of a vehicle. I'll let my neighbors decide.Great price. Seems quality construction.

Loud and Clear
I've got a cheap Cobra CB installed in my SUV so I can pretend I'm a trucker. So far I haven't had much luck getting any real truckers to hear me. You know who CAN hear me though? Anybody standing within about 500 feet from the front of my truck as I bark orders and make weird noises through my sweet PYLE PSP8.Installation is only as difficult as you make it. It comes with everything you would need to install it pretty much anywhere you want. I chose to install mine under the radiator behind the bumper. Because of where I chose to put it, I needed some longer bolts, but I could have picked an easier place to screw it in under the hood. I like to have everything as factory as possible so I decided to splice in a few extra feet of audio cable so I could run the wire invisibly around the engine compartment and bring it through the firewall with the main wiring harness on the driver's side. It plugs right into the back of your CB and that's it. It's powered by the CB so you don't need to run anything else. Now the $10,000 question...is it loud? Like I mentioned, I have mine mounted in what I felt was the ideal location on my truck. It is bolted to the frame directly behind a series of vents in the bumper, so it isn't muffled at all and is coming out full strength and I can say it is really loud but very directional. If you are off to the side of the truck it doesn't carry as far. I had my oldest son help me experiment by walking straight out from the truck and talking to him the whole time. We stopped at about 100 yards because it was annoying the neighbors, and he said it was just as loud 100 yards away as it was 10 yards away. It's been mounted for about 2 months now and seen about 2000 miles on the truck, including some long hauls (picked that up from listening to the CB) and it is holding up just fine. It has also been great for embarrassing my kids by announcing my presence at sports practice and school pickup, "Hey James! I'm here!! Hurry up! Run!! Run!!!"I highly recommend this speaker! It's a cheap and super fun mod for your vehicle that I guarantee you will enjoy.EDIT APRIL 2018I’ve had the speaker hooked up for about 9 months now and driven it through snow and monsoon level rain and mud and every other nasty condition you can think of. I’ve driven in 100+ degree weather and sub zero temperatures with it and it’s still working just like the day I installed it. I have to be honest, I wasn’t expecting too much out of this little horn, but it has really surprised me!EDIT August 2018Hey guess what? It’s been about a year since I hooked up this little beauty and she is still just as loud and annoying as ever! I used it just the other day to announce my arrival at a friend’s place of business and they were remarkably embarrassed! Well done Pyle! This horn should come as standard equipment on every new truck sold in the US.

Good Horn/Speaker for Under Ten Bucks!
A little smaller than I expected it to be but for the price it does a fair job.Horns tend to be a little thin and tinny in general and this allows them to "cut through" and project the sound so it can be heard over ambient noise levels such as a car, shop noises, etc.Comes with a good length of cable that should be suitable for use for when mounting in the grill or underside of an automobile. It uses an 1/8" mono mini connector for plugging into standard speaker outputs such as the PA system built into many CB radios. Is this a fantastic speaker? No, but for the inexpensive price tag it is easily justifiable and can be used for many situations where needing to hear over noisy conditions or use for a terrific outdoor speaker that will hold up to rain, sleet & snow. Great for camping or hooking up to that CB radio in the car, not only for use with the PA address system, but many times, you want a horn/speaker to cut through the noise.Made of weather resistant plastic, this should hold up under most conditions and it handles up to 15 watts of power, and at 15 watts, this horn can get quite loud and shrill! Be careful not to place your ear(s) in direct or close proximity when playing loud sounds through this horn/speaker.Nice circular bracket allows for mounting on and at various angles and is adjustable.I gave it 3-stars for rating because although it is a great little bargain, I didn't want people to think it was going to sound like a police car speaker or an expensive bullhorn. The horns they use in police cars are very expensive, high quality, handle much more power and sound professional. This is a cheap little horn that does a good job for under ten bucks! This one will be used mainly for a patio outdoor speaker, but I plan using it for camping, CB radio speaker and PA address, and for my scanner which has a tiny low level output speaker. When connected to it, it makes it about 5 times louder than the internal speaker and I can hear it clearly from another adjacent room. This will also make a nice outdoor speaker for a Halloween decorated spooky house! One more thing - The box/packaging that it comes in is a rather nice looking box suitable for a nice wrapped present or gift.Don't get your hopes up too high and this horn/speaker will do a fine job...at what it is good at doing.
