Great phone!
Easy to set up and announces callers. We like the larger numbers and ability to increase the volume.

A very nice cordless phone, part of a home phone system with battery backup.
My Mother-in-Law needed an updated home phone system so I searched and located this one with available extra handsets and features suitable for the hard-of-hearing. This model also has an extensive dialing directory, a large display, hearing aid support, and handles extra handsets for additional rooms, a very useful feature. It has a built-in call reject feature that’s preprogrammed with many common nuisance numbers plus a button for you to easily add new ones to your list. Each handset has its own battery backup, good for more than a year. I put a handset in every room except her bathrooms. There was a learning curve with their newness, but I believe that she has it down now and enjoys the increased clarity.

Great phone for those who need glasses
I bought the Panasonic KX-TGM430B because I had been waiting for a phone with larger buttons and display that I could see without my glasses. I also wanted a MIL (message indicator light) on all handsets so I could easily see from anywhere in the house if there were messages. This phone is exactly what was looking for as it has those features. The message indicator light is a big gaudy but is almost impossible to miss which is good. The handsets are full size and comfortable but the volume buttons on the side could be in a better location that's outside the normal grip area. My fingers tend to hit them just holding the handset. The handset sound quality is only OK. It's not as crisp as I would have liked. The tone adjustments work but none of the available tones make the incoming voice sound as clear as I had hoped. It's good enough for normal conversation though but for a phone of this price, I expected a little better. One big negative is cost. It's very expensive. Buying 5 more handsets makes it a lot more expensive. Also, the base is limited to 6 handsets total. I wish it would accept more or had a base with it's own keypad and display as to not consume a handset.I use this phone thru the OOMA telo and it works fine as expected. The MIL picks blinks when there are messages waiting on either the base answering machine or the OOMA voicemail which is really nice.I haven't tried the link2cell yet

Bought for 92 yo Mom
Works great. Loud enough for severely hearing impaired mother to hear plus flashing red light on base and handset helps. She’s happy..I’m happy!

link2cell AMAZING, easy to set up, good for seniors
Bought this phone for my elderly dad - he couldn't hear his cell phone ringing so we wanted a "landline"-style phone that would be loud and hard to misplace. It's worked out well! Pros and cons below:+ link2cell feature ended up being amazing. When we call my dad even through digital services (wechat, etc.) the phone rings for him!+ link2cell was straightforward and pretty easy to set up. Although I have experience with technical things, even someone without technical expertise might be able to set it up.+ Pretty compact so it doesn't take up much desk space.+ LIKED that it came with only one handset. A lot of systems require you to buy three handsets.+ Gets loud enough that he can definitely hear it.* Says it has a feature to slow down incoming speech so that the phone user can better understand. Have not tried this.- Manual is very detailed and can be hard to follow. But nothing that YouTube videos can't solve or if you're technical (or know someone technical) can't figure out.

88+ year old loves his new phone. but we found a major problem.
Family member wanted a loud ringer, amplified sound, large buttons that are easy to read and a larger body cordless phone that is easy to hold. This phone checked all of the boxes.Major problem: The answering machine does not work:1. With the answering machine light "on".2. Personal greeting recorded and confirmed multiple times.3. When someone calls, they get the manufacture default...leave a message at the beep.4. No messages are actually recorded or displayed on the counter.5. The call log list shows all of the calls, but no message is saved... even though the machine gave the caller every indication they were recording a message.

Excellent for the hard of hearing! Easy to properly position on the ear!
The large pronounced earcup like a old traditional phone is great. Has helped my mom hear phone calls much much better. Volume boost seems fine has not caused any distorting others mentioned and its nice and loud!. Shape of handset earpiece really helps be sure the phone is position on the ear properly. We replace a relatively new Panasonic that had a minimal "earcup" more like a tiny indent that mom struggled to get over her ear properly (that one had replaced a very old Panasonic that did have a more pronounced place for the ear like this amplified one now has and I had been very disappointed that the new sleeker design was difficult for her to position just right). As others have noted this handset is heavier than the regular Panasonic it replaced but improved the quality of phone calls a lot and my tiny mom is ok with it. It is nice to be able to have the boost set to be on all the time since mom is usually the only person using the phone but it is easy to turn it off for a call when a normal hearing person need to. Battery backup in the base so it works in a power failure is also a great addition. Tone at my end when receiving a call form this phone seems a bit different perhaps sort of flat, but its clear.Glad we got this phone calls with mom are much better!
