My favorite 1000 cranes kit so far (this is my 3rd)
This is my 3rd set of 1000 cranes, and I've gotten a different kit each time (just because of what was available at the time.) I like to take a few minutes every day to make a few cranes. I'm not much for meditation or yoga, but I find that the simple mechanical motion of folding cranes helps me relax and focus. I would highly recommend trying it.These sheets are all perfectly square and come in really nice bright colors. I love that the cranes are rather small because, if you're going to have 1000 of them, it's nice if they don't take up too much space. It's also nice that this kit has the colors already sorted for you. In the past 2 kits I've had, the pages all came mixed in so if you wanted the rainbow effect, you had to sort them out, which was a huge hassle. Some of the colors do seem to be on thicker paper, but this has been true of all the kits I've tried. It seems brighter colors tend to feel thicker, so I wonder if it has anything to do with the amount of ink they have to use. These are white on 1 side, but the white is not visible once the crane is made.I also like that this kit comes with the string and beads - it just makes things easier. I saw a previous review that said the extra 20 sheets of paper (you get 1020 sheets in case you make some mistakes) were all orange, but all my colors seem to have 51 sheets (51*20=1020) so there's 1 extra sheet in each color, which is nice. I like to use the extra 20 to make a little travel-size strand that I can hang in my office (or, back in the day, I took a 20-strand to college but left the original 1000 at my parents' house) to remind me of the 1000 without having to transport the whole collection.

All the colors are very bright and vivid
This kit has almost everything you need to make your own senbazuru. All you need is a needle, scissors, and some tape to hold the card together. The paper is about 3x3 inches and my kit had three shades of pink, two shades of red, four shades of orange (two of which were very similar), two shades of yellow, three shades of green (I received two portions of the same lime green), four shades of blue, and a dark purple. Overall the colors were very bright and vivid.I found folding the cranes very relaxing. Once you have the folds memorized, you can fold and multitask at the same time. You need to set a goal of how many cranes you want folded either per day or by week. Then you need to set aside ample time to piece together all of the cranes. When stringing together the cranes, I found out if you set all the cranes down by shade, then unfold all of them, and finally carefully string them all together will result in fewer tangles. When I was doing all those steps all at once, my cranes became a big mess. The final result is amazing and is a wonderful piece to hang up. In the future I can see myself folding another senbazuru.

Used for 1000 cranes wedding project, Would Recommend
This was the most affordable and efficient way for the 1000 cranes project for my wedding.Pros - range of colors, great size and when the 1000 are done, it's not so huge that it's too much to work with in a display, (note: I have small, nimble fingers so folding wasn't an issue), provided some extra papers just in case you mess some upCons - WAY too much orange in the kit, and some of the papers aren't EXACT. Depends on how picky you are.I set mine up flat in a rainbow array in a large frame and they worked out great. I would recommend this kit to others.

easy to open
Paper is larger then expected. Think post it note, very accurate. Colors are strong. Paper holds creases very well. No ripping paper, easy to open.Colora are organized next to each other to produce a very nice rainbow effect. Will be a nice addition to my wedding.

Well, this process has been... Interesting
Now that I'm past the folding stage and am now stringing my cranes, I'm noticing a few,,, problems, for one the directions are just straight up wrong in some parts which causes a little confusion when reading, not to mention it claims there's 20 different colors and me and my roomie dug for an HOUR and could only count 18 I imagine they were translated wrong, so not really a big deal, unfortunately, the supply count is off as well, 23 strands in, and I'm out completely of 3 different colors, out of beads, out of string and at at a loss on how I'm going to make up the last 100 or so cranes out of what I have left.. I'm honestly pretty disappointed knowing it'll end up looking a bit off because of the missing colors, but hey, at least I still have my 40 leftover lime green and orange cranes.

Exactly as described. 20 different colors, 51 sheets of each! :)
Great quality paper. All papers were identical in size. Some reviews say there is too much of the same orange, but in my case that was not true. There were 4 different shades of orange. 2 of them are very close in color so I think some customers are having trouble seeing the color difference, but after double and triple checking they are indeed different shades of orange.Overall I am very satisfied with this kit and am excited to get started.

Paper is really nice, nearly perfect squares
Bought this some time during the fall semester, didn't start the project until winter break.Pros:Paper is really nice, nearly perfect squares, just a tiny tiny bit off, no complaints there. Folds great, doesn't stick too much.Cons:Color variation could be better, the batch I got had:Only 1 type of purple2 types of yellow and red3 types of pink (2 which were nearly identical) and blue,5 types of orange and green. For people who try to make things perfect like me, the next thing that bothered me was that there were not 21 of each color as specified. One of the darker greens was actually missing 7. So there's a bit of an imbalance there as well since I had to use a spare from most of the other colors to fill in that gap.Overall:Good enough a product if you just want to fold 1000 cranes and not do specific things with it to make it look pretty.
