Works like a charm
The product works very well. It cooks rice perfectly! It’s quick and non stick. It Can make a crispy delicate little thing at the bottom that some people in KDramas have enjoyed eating. I just mix it in so it doesn’t get scorched. It cleans up very nicely and the steam vent is removable for cleaning too. There is a plastic inner basket for steaming vegetables they included and a rice spoon. The recipe for rice is basically what ever the rice package instructs. It will take only a little time to figure out which rice the water should be doubled or a little more or less to make it to your firmness. For example, Canilla rice? It gets mushy with a standard fouling of water to rice mixture. There I use less. It comes out perfectly. Basmati, Jasmine, brown, and Uncle Ben’s Converted will need just one cooking to determine the ratios. You can Always lift the lid during cooking to check the firmness and remove some water. It cooks quickly as well. I DO recommend this cooker.

Read above
Replacement for pur original item that finally gave out. This one cooks perfectly, has insert to steam vegetables at same time, larger capacity to be able to cook more rice at a time. And comes with serving spoon and spoon holder.

Great rice cooker
This is a simple little appliance to use. Turns itself into a warmer once the rice is cooked. Very convenient.I purchased this for a large dinner party I was giving. And the rice was perfect using the measuring cup that came w/ it. However once the cleaning up after the party commenced, that little cup disappeared. I didn’t measure how much water it actually held, but it’s less than a full cup.So since that time, I’ve used various means in which to measure. It’s a learning curve for sure! I’m always adding too much water and the rice comes out a bit more sticky (I use a Thai jasmine) or heavier than I prefer. I’ll find the right ratio of water/rice. But I would definable recommend you keep a good eye on that little plastic cup! I’m sure one of my helpers thought it to be trash and tossed it during clean up.All in all, I would recommend this rice cooker! It does the job beautifully!

Nice for Rice, but Design Disappoints
UPDATE: I figured out how to operate the lid so that it stays open! Now, it's a 4 star rice cooker. This rice cooker yields tender, tasty rice in a very short amount of time, however the design of the machine is really not so nice, hence my three stars. Some tips and critiques;I love the removable ceramic cooking pot, it was very easy to clean, however I would not suggest using any metal spoons or cooking utensils with it as it may scratch the surface. I used a wooden spoon with success. Also, I would not suggest cleaning it with abrasives or steel wool, as these too may scratch the surface.I haven't tried the steaming basket yet, but am really looking forward to, as this is a very nice feature. Due to the short amount of time it takes to cook the rice (under 10 minutes to cook + about 10 minutes warming time), I think many harder vegetables may not be fully cooked in the basket, and so I will experiment to see which ones can be used.Once the machine clicks over from 'Cook' to 'Warm', indicating that the rice is done cooking, you'll need to open the lid to fluff the rice, then let it sit, lid closed on warm for about 10 minutes to result in a nice tender grain. If you skip this, the rice will not be tender, and will be slightly undercooked, with some pieces even being hard. Doing this extra step didn't bother me at all, as I do this even when cooking rice on the stove top.The lid is very poorly designed; it doesn't stay open on its own, ie; you can only open it just a bit, and the machine is too light, and not stable enough for one to hold the lid and scoop rice out at the same time. It was very awkward and took me a few tries to get the rice out without releasing all the heat and not tipping the entire machine over.Be VERY careful of lifting the lid with your hand or wrist near the steam vent... this is another very poor design decision. The vent is literally at the top of the lid, right near the handle, and for right handed folks, you'll try to lift the lid with your left hand and scoop rice with your right hand, which means your left wrist will be right above the vent. After getting burned, I turned the machine around and had to hold the lid with my right hand, and scoop with my left hand. I also thought for future use to wait until there is no more steam/heat coming from the vent before opening the lid. While the instructions do caution that this machine 'generates heat, and escapes steam', I feel that a suggestion to wait until the steam/heat has stopped escaping would have prevented my burned wrist. Please note: the steam/heat that is coming out from the vent is NOT always visible, ie; I didn't see any vapor and thought it was safe to place my hand there. After getting burned, I waited about 10 minutes before trying it again, and that seemed to be a good amount of time to let steam and heat escape.

Love it!
Love it! The plumb colored handle is a sweet perk. The condensation cup clicks in with a smooth look on the outside. The parts are easily taken apart for cleaning and the inner ceramic lining is definitely non stick. No need for oils or liners.I won't put it in the dishwasher though cuz I did that with a ceramic pan years ago and the ceramic isn't non stick like before.I like the rice cooker too much to take that chance. 😊

Garbage
Never again while I read reviews of people who are not of the nationality to erase almost everything. This thing is absolute garbage I wouldn't fill it with concrete and use it as a anchor. It doesn't cook the rice without burning the bottom and turns the rice absolute soup on warm after any amount of significant time. If you want to buy a rice cooker walking to an Asian store that sells Asian products from Asia and buy a rice cooker it may be $50 more but 50 times more worth it.

Well worth the money! Not a single chip over a year later
I bought this July 12, 2023. There’s not a single problem with it, not a single Chip in the coating, it still has a no stick surface and works flawlessly.I used to buying $20-$30 rice cookers but if this thing ever dies, I’ll never repeat that same mistake. I’ll only buy higher quality rice cookers like this one. I recommend to spend the money and buy something like this.Year and a half review. Will update later.
