It's definitely the best case I have to protecting my phone, with that extra durability you have to sacrifice in other places so the cut out hole for power button/finger print reader is deeper then normal. With that in mind I'm surprised it works as well as it does because it's rare I have issues unlocking the phone. Could probably be fixed if I would reset my prints.

As we all know, the Sony Xperia 1 III is very slippery. This case thankfully adds a less frictionless and comfortable grip to it. That said, even with the better grip, I am sometimes a klutz and bobbled the phone from around chest height and had it fall. The phone survived unscathed even without a glass screen protector.The other folks are not wrong about the reduced tactile feel of the buttons though. The case's thickness reduces the tactile response, and it also makes it harder to make contact with the finger print reader. But in my opinion, it's worth this slight inconvenience to protect my $1300 device.

This is a pretty nice TPU case. Improvements could be made in the fingerprint reader recess, as the reader is a little difficult to access. Other than that, I really like the side grips on this case.

I'm not a "case person", I usually leave my phones bare because I don't want the extra bulk or covering up the look of the phone. The Xperia 1 III is a really big phone though and I plan on using the camera at outdoor events so I decided to get a case for it for added protection. The Tudia case fits great and actually makes the Xperia much more comfortable to hold (it's a little slippery without the case when trying to text). It does make the finger print reader slightly more difficult to access, but once you get used to it you'll unlock your phone 99% of the time first try.The shutter button is a little stiffer when using the case, but I expected that and it has a side benefit. When I put the Xperia 1 in my WeatherTech CupFone holder in my car without the case, the shutter button often was depressed when making a left-hand turn (just enough g-force to activate the button!). Having the Xperia in the case with the stiffer cover button has solved that problem, no more pictures of my center console while driving!Another reviewer complained about the back "separating" - this is by design. The hard back cover comes off so you can easily flex the case around the phone during installation - then you snap the hard back onto the case and now you have that extra layer of ridged protection on the back and it strengthens the overall case. It's a good design, not a defect 🙂
