Ballymore H318P Perforated 16" W 3 Step Steel Rolling Ladder 10" D Top Step

I bought this item and found numerous issues when assembling. For starters the item was no doubt packed and shipped damaged. The hardware was rusty and the painted metal components where scuffed and scraped to the effect that paint was missing on just about every part (keep in mind that every part was packed with a protective sleeve). So I believe they sent me an old and/or previously returned product. The hardware was rusty despite being packaged in a shrink wrapped package (again, likely a previous returned product). The assembly is awkward but manageable. But the hardware is neither metric or SAE sizes. The product provides 2 crappy stamped wrenches for assembly (these are absolutely awful!). Once the product was assembled it did not function as advertised. It does have casters that are supposed to allow movement until stepped on. But any attempt to push or pull the stairs the rubber footpads stop the stairs from moving and you have to physically pick up the stairs to relocate to the area of use. Attempts to contact the vendor yielded no resolution. They responded within 24 hours, apologizing about my experience with their product, but offered no solution. They said I could send the product back but I would be charged $35. This product is terrible. The company knows it is a terrible product and sells it anyway. There is no doubt that any returns on their products they repackage and sell to another person. Amazon should ban this company until they provide better products and/or customer service.

Don't get this one.Took forever to assemble and was not what the photo or DIMS described.

The instructions were confusing and inadequate! I finally put it together by instinct. I suggest using two people unless you have a third arm. The material used is no doubt top notch but, the manufacturing and attention to detail is mediocre! When attempting to insert the spring loaded wheels, three went in and the fourth would only go in after I drilled the hole larger! The primary reason I purchased this product was to have a stable platform that could easily be moved around! Neither, unfortunately happened! The platform does not move smoothly no matter how many times one stops and adjusts the spring loaded pins! However, the most discouraging thing of all is the fact that when I step on the first step, the entire ladder tends to fall forward! Had it not been so labor intensive to assemble, I would have packed it up and returned everything! However, I use it in the garage, affixed to the wall, next to shelves and it serves a purpose! My advise, go for the higher priced models and don’t try to save money at the expense of safety!
