Q: Will this work on a 2002 Silverado 4160e w/ 4x4 also what is the the thickness of the steels and friction plates?

Yes it will and thickness is almost an 1/8th "

Yes, if your transmission is a 4L60E, 4L65E

Q: Are these high performance friction plates?? Will they fit 01 4L60E?

These are some of the best medium to heavy duty clutches. Not for race, ok for street use. Don’t buy the knock off brands. Set the 3-4 clutch pack around 35 thousand, will need different steels to accomplish this. I always use the z-pak in 3-4, everything needed for a tight clearance is included and never had a problem. MUST DO- Drill the 3rd feed hole in the separator to .100, new bonded 3rd piston, new 3rd accumulator check ball capsule, .500 boost valve, turn the force motor in 1/4 clockwise. Monitor pressures after install with a gauge.
