Excellent radio, do not waste your money on cheap ones
Excellent radio using the two small batteries AAA. In fact I have bought and used different Phillips radios and they were all very good. However, this one is the best because the knurled volume wheel has been very well designed and made.At the moment, I have more than a dozen pocket radios that are working. But over the years, I had more of these radios than hairs on my head. Most of my previous radios were discarded because of damage to the volume wheel through wear and dropping on the floor. I only use 2 AM stations BBC Radio 5 and Talksport and they are always loud and clear. FM reception is also good but moving around you may need to use the aerial. The radio plus batteries is very light and small. One criticism is the location of the earphone jack point at the top rather than on the side of the radio in order to fit the pocket easier without much bending of the wire. I previously bought this radio from elsewhere at a much lower price (but yet to use). However, I wanted to make sure that I have another spare one as it became discontinued. I surely recommend it.

It's very small and easy to hold, and for the price of £16.99 I am very pleased with it.
The original one I ordered came missing the legend on the side rocker showing the AM or FM, I re-ordered and the next one came with it on, it works great, lasted 2 days so far on one set of AAA batteries, no issues tuning to stations, wireless chargers can interfere with the signal, which is to be expected, looks great. It's very small and easy to hold, and for the price of £16.99 I am very pleased with it.

Basic but pleasant, analog throwback.
You know I actually really like this radio.A throwback to a simpler time, easy and basic to use.I've mainly got it for the bedroom at night, but it's very handy to just carry round at times. The sound quality is pretty middle of the road, but it has a certain nostalgic charm to it.Mono with something of a vintage sound too it.It's adequately loud enough too.I love the fact it doesn't have a screen and it's just analog. We live surrounded by screens, it's nice to break away from it.A decent, cheap pocket radio with a little charm.Sound is the weakest aspect, but it's sufficient.Everything else shines over that. Can't go wrong for the price.

Good little radio
The radio is compact and easy to use, I haven't had a problem with reception. It only has a mono speaker so the sound quality is ok for general listening. I've only used rechargeable batteries which last about a week with 8 hours per day usage. The aerial does not have a swivel joint unlike most radios so it will only extend vertically from the top of the radio. Overall it does the job for what I want which is to provide background music during work.

It looks good but it sounds awful, like one of those singing cards, don't understand why make something really good looking but put crap speakers in it,prunus j 155 is the same size and sounds great
