huge upgrade for my sprinter
I used to dread the slow speed pull outs from parking lots. The side to side bounce from turning onto uneven terrain would throw the cargo back and forth. Given the high roof - that adds like leverage to the back/forth meaning the top of the van would swing quite a bit. I found myself on a canyon road in colorado, one way, no turning around (3500 extended). A couple of downhill ruts caused the van to sway so hard at 3MPH that I thought it was going off the side of the hill. However, once I installed the sumo springs myself (15 minutes) it REALLY limits the side swaying at low speed and now I don't cringe when pulling out of a parking lot. I haven't noticed much of a difference on the highway but this has been a huge help at slow speeds. they are inexpensive and if you watch the videos its a super easy install without taking the wheels off.

Great
I have 2020 Airstream Interstate 24GL-4WD with factory Air-Ride suspension. I was not expecting much from the upgrades (I also installed black Sumo Springs (SSf-327-47) in the front), but they improved handling dynamics dramatically by controlling sway and lean. Because I have the factory Air-Ride suspension, the Sumo Springs specified for the 4WD would not fit, so I decided to gamble and install the SSR-338-47, which was designed only for 2WD Sprinters, on my van. The height of the springs was perfect, just touching the riser on top of the axles. The Air-Ride suspension keeps the rear of the vehicle at a constant height, whether the van is loaded or not, so I was worried that the Sumo Springs will interfere with the Air-Ride suspension operations. But because the height was just perfect with the set suspension height of the van, it worked beautifully. I am simply amazed how well these, both front and back Sumo Springs, help the van from sways and leans.

OK Raised From 1 Star to 5 Star but still Terrible to install - Unless you read this.
The first section of this review is prior to getting it done.I replaced all 4 of my shocks on a 2005 Sprinter 3500 in less time than I have struggled trying, yes trying, it is still not installed. These are the rear Sumospring. I followed the instructions to the "T". I have repaired things all of my life so its not like I cant figure things out. Install of these are a joke. I will update this review at a later date if I find any trick to the install but after an hour and a half the only thing easy about it was opening the box that they came in.This is my update to my original review. MOST IMPORTANT read the instructions carefully and then "throw them away, preferably recycle them". OK in the photo on the front page of the instructions it clearly states Deepest notch into FRONT flange. In step 5 it says working from FORWARD of the axle insert REAR tab into REAR part of the bracket. So assuming FORWARD of the axle would mean under the mid section of the vehicle facing the rear of the vehicle that leaves you with the longest tab or deepest notch out of the bracket. I tried for an hour and a half to try on fold the corner of that long tab into the bracket and then use a screw driver to insert the rest of the tab. I never came close. After putting the vehicle back down of the jacks I gave up and came inside. I called Supersprings customer service department for help installing them, they HAVE NOT called back yet after 2 days past. I don't give up easy so I went back out jacked it back up. Here is where it gets easy. Working from the back of the axle looking toward the front of the vehicle I slid the long tab in first facing toward the front as it is supposed to be. Being the long tab was inserted I only had to deal with the shorter rear tab. I took my needle nose pliers, twisted the corner tab upwards, took my screw driver and popped it right in. I moved over to the other side and had it installed in about 1 minute. I dont know if there perspective of "FORWARD" of the axle is different than mine but the long tab is in the correct location for the install. I have not tried driving with them in yet but I will update my review when I have tried them out. I have went from 1 star to 3 stars based only on the install.I have raised my original review from 1 star to 5 stars. I still find the instructions a matter of perspective to where "working forward of the axle" is. After I did it from the rear of the axle I raised my review to 3 stars. Today I took my RV (on Sprinter chassis) out for a ride. Huge difference. I had replaced the shocks just a couple of weeks ago. That did make a difference but the SumoSpring helpers was the cherry on top. This review is for part #SSR-338-47.

If you have a Sprinter Motorhome - Read This
I have a 2014 Winnebago View - Sprinter 3500. I've installed the Hellwig anti-sway bar, FOX custom shock absorbers and the Sumo Super Springs 338.47. The ride was much improved but the rocking side to side was still annoying especially at low speed such as going out of a gas station drive or on un-plowed roads with ice potholes. I called the Super Spring company in Carpinteria, CA and they were very helpful. They said that the "47" was rated at 2,000 lbs. but there was a new model 338-54 that was rated at 2,800 lbs. I requested a refund from Amazon and returned the 338-47 and installed the 338-54 - WOW!!! What a difference. The 338-54 is clearly designed for the extra weight and top-heavy conditions of a motorhome. The only Con is they are about $50 more then the "47".Anybody with a regular Sprinter will probably be happy with the 2,000 lb. rated "47" but if you have a motorhome I recommend ONLY the 2,800 lb. rated 338-54. So what's the catch? At this time the "54" is only available from the factory, I checked. None of the RV superstores or Amazon have it.My advice, wait till Amazon carries it or if you really need it right away - well you can do your own research.

Installation Tip
I can not comment on how effective these springs are as I just installed them today. However, I discovered a trick that makes installation a whole lot easier when trying to get the back tab of the spring into the rear slot of the bracket on the frame of the vehicle. Use a stiff 1-1/2" or 2" putty knife. Soap one side with liquid soap. Insert the knife into the back portion of the bracket with the soaped side facing the rubber spring. Make sure you position the putty knife so it is straight up and down. Grab the body of the spring with the other hand and pull it towards the back . The SumoSpring will slide up against the putty knife compressing the rear tab. Once it is up in the bracket pull the putty knife straight down while continuing to hold the body of the spring in place. The tab will spring into the rear slot of the bracket once the knife is pulled out.
