These gloves are kind of a hybrid between MIG and TIG. They are thick enough for light to moderate MIG welding with a little added dexterity compared to regular MIG gloves. For TIG welding, they are not as thin as most TIG gloves so they are a little more difficult to use. These could be used for a little more high powered TIG welding than the typical gloves though because they shield from heat a little more. I personally think having a dedicated set of MIG gloves, a dedicated set of TIG gloves, and this pair make a complete set.
