The rack itself is well built, but the moving parts leave much to be desired.The smith machine uprights aren’t very slick and produce a substantial amount of noise and friction when compared to actual gym equipment.It is also narrower than a traditional smith machine and my elbows sometimes hit the pegs if I’m working directly in the center (ie: military press).The cable pulleys feature the same issues: stiff and noisy. The pulleys are made of plastic, instead of metal, which increases friction and will lead to premature wear and tear.Changing the pulleys position is easy, but the safety pin is not very secure.The landmine attachment is somewhat loose.The attachments provided (pulldown bar and Olympic plate row bar) are made of pretty thin metal.I’ve chosen to purchase heavier duty attachments to replace them.The most concerning part of this build is the fact that the Olympic plate storage pegs and the ones on the side of the cable pulley weight stack are made out of plastic instead of metal!I opted to remove the storage pegs at the rear of the rack to be able to push it further back against the wall, but my main concern is whether the ones attached to the weight stack can actually sustain the weight of plates being added without bending and breaking off eventually.Final verdict: the system is functional but I would advise against concerning it if heavy weights are to be utilized. The system is definitely overpriced for the quality of some of the parts included, but it does offer a substantial amount of exercise variety in a relatively small and compact package.
