I first discovered Bugsy Drake like most did, on Bravo's Below Deck Mediterranean. She was this bubbly, hard working woman who added an amazing ambiance to each meal through her table scaping. When she announced she was publishing a book, I preordered it that day. The book was delivered yesterday, and I've already read about half of it and thumbed through the rest.First off, the pictures are absolutely stunning. Bright, beautiful, and color color color! Not only do you learn her own history of the craft, but you see some beautiful tables she has designed.The book walks you through the important things - themes, design (height, texture, centerpieces, unique touches, etc). As you read through, ideas certainly spark on new twists and turns to add to your next design. There is a little "cheat sheet" for coming up with new ideas and themes as well. There is a section with tips and ideas for storage of your themes. And again, there is a section with some ideas for tables and labeling thoughts.I'm already putting Bugsy's tips to use planning a table scape for an upcoming event, and she gave me some things that i had not yet considered. Hopefully we will get to see her back on Bravo soon so we can see some more of her beautiful creativity on air.

Beautiful book with gorgeous photos of table decoration ideas for lavish dinner parties.

I bought this to give as a gift and it did not disappoint. The size of the book is easy to take anywhere and as a hardcover, it protects the in depth pictures well. This is an A-Z book on tablescaping that carries you from beginning to end, including fill in the blank inspiration pages. This book is well thought out and easy to follow. It makes the perfect gift for that creative detailed designer in your life because with Bugsy Drake’s ideas, the plainest objects can be beautiful in no time on a dime!

I was a big fan of Bugsy's on Below Deck and loved her tablescapes! Received this as a Mothers Day gift and even though I am the most uncreative person I know I am going to try some of these ideas and I am excited about it!! The pictures are beautiful and its a very easy read - you feel as though you are chatting to Bugsy! Makes a great gift for yourself or someone you love!
