Devialet - Phantom I 103dB - High-Fidelity Wireless Speaker - Light Chrome - Implosive Soundstage - Zero Distortion - Bluetooth Speaker

I recently travelled to Thailand and had a change to acquaint myself with Devialet. I am into good sound and audio equipment and was very impressed with the demo. Sound is great. I researched the product on the web and there really is not much out there in describing this product. When I returned to the states I purchased a pair of Phantom I and am so happy I did. The speakers look great, especially with the tree stands. Setup was very easy. The sound is awesome. The old adage is true: you get what you pay for. While they may be expensive, they are well worth the investment. Love them!

This speaker isn’t just another Bluetooth speaker. As shown in various YouTube reviews, the focus isn’t solely on bass intensity or maximum volume—it's about delivering exceptional sound quality.While this speaker is capable of producing loud, deep bass comparable to setups with subwoofers, it’s not designed to be a party speaker. If all you need is raw volume and punch, you’d be better off with a professional audio speaker with Bluetooth functionality. However, if you’re after a high-end audio system without the complexity of amps, preamps, cables, and equipment matching, this is a great choice.The amplifier is built-in, and it offers multiple input options, including optical (Toslink), network (wired or Wi-Fi) for streaming services, and Bluetooth. The price is excellent for what you’re getting because the sound quality rivals what you’d typically achieve with much more expensive systems. For the cost of a pair of these, you’d struggle to find even an integrated amplifier of comparable quality.I’ve owned several high-quality stereo systems in the past, including brands like Aragon (amp + preamp), Plinius, Rega, Emotiva, Hegel, Musical Fidelity, and Luxman, as well as speakers from Zu Audio, Ceratec, B&W, Aerial Acoustics, Jamo, Elac, Triangle, and Martin Logan. Based on that experience, I can confidently say this speaker set offers exceptional value. You’re essentially getting a top-tier amp, DAC, and speakers in one package. They perform on par with premium bookshelf speakers paired with subs or high-end tower setups that require amps, DACs, and cables.

Great sound. But have some room for improvement when it comes to interfaces of connection. Amazon prime app had a lag in sound at a time of testing.Hope they will release an additional device for connecting al their speakers in one wireless interface

Unfortunately this is the best sounding Bluetooth I've ever owned, when it plays. Probably uncommon but the connection stuttering is insufferable. Android APP is useless and glitchy. Build quality is amazingly good. I would suggest getting the black version, as the white is a dirty fingerprint magnet. No matter how loud you play it, the sound does not translate into what it sits on. I would recommend to anyone who want the best sound quality money can buy!!!

This speaker is something else. The range of sound it can produce is absolutely incredible, especially for such a small speaker. The low-end frequencies are unreal, I wasn't expecting it to be able to produce this kind of bass! It's so strong I actually had to adjust some hanging picture frame that started to rattle sometimesI haven't had a proper hi-fi speaker system since the Martin Logan towers and McIntosh setup I used to listen on. I wanted to get something that's high quality and looks beautiful without taking up too much room. I didn't want to get separate amps etc and then have big floor-standing tower speakers for the room I usually listen to music in.After doing my research, I was curious but also skeptical that Devialet would actually deliver, but this speaker really does. The clarity of sound is incredible, I'm streaming Hi-res lossless via Airplay in Apple Music and it sounds phenomenal.I started with one speaker just to make sure I like it, I'm definitely adding a second one for the stereo pair

Just throwing this out there. Their technology warrants 1 star as the optical, bluetooth, and wireless connectivity via airplay have* all failed within 4 years.However, if you're having those problems, use an ethernet and plug it from your router into the phantom. Works like a dream for me and has been working ever since.Double however, I haven't heard any speakers that come close for punchiness and fun* in music that are under $3000*.

Pretty cool system. I have two as a stereo pair. Huge scale of sound. These are not neutral sounding speakers. I'd describe them as fun sounding. Clear highs, warm to neutral mids, and solid lows. If you're looking for the pinnacle of sonic purity though, this isn't it. Most people aren't, even if they think they are, and I believe most people would find these to be a very good listen, especially as a stereo pair. Biggest downside to me are lack of HDMI ARC and native Tidal streaming and that subtracts a star for me. As long as those aren't deal breakers for your use case, I'd recommend them.
